Brisbane Travel Tips

Brisbane is an easy city to visit and get around in, but here are a couple of useful tips to help make your stay more comfortable.

  • If you’re from the northern hemisphere then remember that the seasons in Australia are flipped! Winter begins in June and summer starts around December.
  • If you plan to stay a while in Brisbane then it’s best to bring some extra funds or save money by getting a cheap phone plan, cooking occasionally if you’re renting an Airbnb or even bring a water bottle because tap water is safe and clean in Brisbane.
  • Avoid taxis if possible! They’re very expensive in Brisbane and it’s much cheaper to use public transportation or even consider cycling.
