Kuwait has closed its doors to visitors since the beginning of the virus. Furthermore, it has banned non-Kuwaiti citizens from entering the country until further notice. There are very limited exemptions, such as Kuwaiti citizens’ first-degree relatives and house helps traveling with them.
The few travelers who can enter Kuwait will only be welcome with a residency permit or a valid visa. If you are a visitor, you will not get a visa on arriving, neither are visas available electronically in advance. You can only get one direct from the Kuwait embassy.
Arriving visitors above six years must present a negative coronavirus PCR test result issued 72 hours before departure. And the results have to be in the English language; they do not need a translation. Upon arrival in Kuwait, all travelers will take another PCR test.
You must register with their booking apps like the Kuwait Mosafer Platform to book a hotel before taking your flight. Once you arrive, you will stay in the hotel for up to six days, and you will get tested again. You will freely leave if you have a negative result.
Wearing facemasks is compulsory, and there are random tests done on the citizens daily. Closure of enterprises remains since restaurants do not offer dine-in services till further notice.
