Traveling to The Maldives – COVID-19 Updates

The Maldives are a small collection of islands contributing to a small archipelagic state in South Asia. They are known for being absolutely beautiful, with gorgeous seafront vistas and a rich maritime culture.

It is the smallest Asian country by land area, and also one of the most geographically dispersed republics in the world.

The Maldives are known for their radiant beaches, incredible landmarks, and rich culture of adventure activities and high-intensity watersports.

Of course, as Covid-19 travel restrictions have been put in place to varying degrees the world over, it’s essential to know just how The Maldives have implemented COVID travel guidance and limits.

Traveling to The Maldives after COVID-19:

Initially known for its permissive attitude and open approach when it came to expected restrictions, the Maldives has since increased its limits by banning entry to visa holders from India, Bhutan, Nepal, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, and Pakistan.

Other travelers must provide proof of a negative Covid-19 test and travel with 72 hours of that to the country. They must also complete health declaration form acknowledging compliance with said regulations. Furthermore, travelers are told that they could expect randomized testing, but will grant tourists a 30-day free tourist visa for the trouble.
