Biirdee · Cruise Desk
Cruise lines are good at the ship and indifferent to everything around it. Biirdee’s cruise desk books ocean, river and expedition sailings at the same fare you would pay the line, then does the part they sell badly: business-class flights to the port, the night-before hotel, private transfers, and the perks your booking qualifies for.

Booking a cruise direct is easy. Booking a cruise well is not. The fare is the same whether you call the line or an agency, because lines protect their published pricing and pay agencies a commission out of it. What changes is everything the fare does not cover: which ship and sailing actually suit the people travelling, which cabin category is the last one worth paying for, whether the line’s “free air” is a gift or an economy seat you will regret, and who answers when the itinerary changes at 11pm.
Biirdee is a luxury travel agency whose core business is long-haul business and first class at unpublished fares. That matters more for cruising than it sounds: the flights to Barcelona, Vancouver, Ushuaia or Singapore are usually the second-largest line on a cruise budget and the first thing to go wrong. Our desk prices them alongside the sailing rather than treating them as an afterthought, and compares them honestly against the line’s own air offer.
Each page covers the lines, the ships, the seasons and the flights for that kind of sailing.
The fare is the same in all three columns. The difference is what happens around it.

Couples marking an anniversary with a Mediterranean sailing on Regent or Silversea. Families booking connecting suites in the NCL Haven or the MSC Yacht Club for a school holiday. Groups of friends doing the Danube on AmaWaterways. First-time cruisers who have been told Antarctica is the trip of a lifetime and want someone to explain fly-the-Drake versus sailing it. Retirees stringing a world cruise together with business-class flights at either end.
Most of them came to us for the flights first. Read how the desk thinks about premium cabins on our business class flights hub, and about the whole-trip approach on how it works.
The cruise fare itself is the same: lines protect their published prices and pay the agency a commission out of the fare you would pay anyway. An agency saves you money around the fare — on the flights, where Biirdee books business class at unpublished rates, and through onboard credit or amenities where its relationships allow. It never costs more.
No. The cruise line and the airlines pay Biirdee’s commission. There is no planning fee, booking fee or minimum spend, and asking for a shortlist commits you to nothing.
Every major ocean, river and expedition line: Regent Seven Seas, Silversea, Seabourn, Explora Journeys, Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection, Oceania, Viking, Celebrity, Virgin Voyages, Royal Caribbean, Norwegian, MSC, Disney, Cunard, Princess, Holland America, AmaWaterways, Uniworld, Tauck, Ponant, Lindblad and HX among them. We recommend across lines rather than steering you to one.
Sometimes. Included or credited air is genuinely good value on some luxury lines and a poor economy seat on others. Biirdee prices the line’s air offer against its own business-class fares and tells you which is better for your route, including whether to take the air credit instead. The comparison is explained on our flights to your cruise page.
Luxury, expedition and river sailings sell their best suites nine to eighteen months out, and Antarctica and Galápagos departures earlier still. Mainstream ocean sailings have more flexibility. Booking early usually means better cabin choice and the line’s launch pricing; Biirdee tracks price drops after booking and asks the line to honour them where its policy allows.
Yes. Arriving a day early is the single best piece of cruise advice, and the desk books the hotel at the direct rate with partner perks, the private transfer to the pier, and any post-cruise stay or onward flights, all on one itinerary.
