Privacy is the honeymoon currency, and no brand mints more of it. Where to spend yours, by honeymoon style.

Honeymoons are Aman's home turf: small properties, vast grounds, staff who materialize and vanish, and zero convention traffic. The choice isn't whether Aman suits a honeymoon — it's which kind of honeymoon you're actually taking. These are the four archetypes we book most, with the properties that own each.
| Style | First choice | Also superb | Two-week budget (couple) |
|---|---|---|---|
| Castaway island | Amanpulo — private island, your own casita and buggy | Amanyara, Amanwana | ~$25,000–45,000 |
| Desert drama | Amangiri — canyon silence, via ferrata, star beds | Amanjena for a softer desert | ~$35,000–60,000 |
| Culture + coast | Aman Japan circuit — Tokyo, Kyoto, Amanemu | Sri Lanka fort-and-beach | ~$20,000–40,000 |
| Grand journey | Amankora — five lodges across Bhutan | Southeast Asia grand tour | ~$30,000–50,000 |
Mechanically: the rooms are villas or pavilions rather than corridors of doors, so privacy is architectural, not negotiated. Most properties will set dinner anywhere — a sandbar, a canyon ledge, a temple-facing terrace — and the spa programs run as couples' rituals by default. And because Aman maintains guest histories, the honeymoon becomes the founding document of every future stay; anniversaries at the same property are a Biirdee perennial.
The booking notes that matter: tell the channel it's a honeymoon — Aman properties are exceptional at marking occasions, but only when the reservation carries the context, which is precisely what a partner booking encodes. Book islands and Japan 6–12 months out; weave the flights in early (honeymooners' dates are fixed, so business-class award and fare windows matter — our flights desk runs that in parallel); and consider ending, not starting, at the most remote property — arrival fatigue belongs at the beginning.
Amanpulo for the classic castaway brief — a private island with casitas, reef, and total seclusion. Amangiri for couples who want drama over palm trees, and the Japan circuit for culture-first honeymoons.
Plan on roughly $20,000–60,000 for two weeks for two depending on properties and season, before international flights. Partner-channel perks (breakfast, credits, upgrade priority) claw back $1,000+ across a two-week run.
Rarely as published packages — the brand personalizes instead. Stay-pay offers (4th-night constructions) and journey bundles function as the discount; the honeymoon touches come through the reservation's context and the property's instincts.
Amanpulo and Amanyara deliver the Maldives' water with more land, more privacy, and better food. Couples set on Maldivian overwater villas should watch the announced Janu Maldives — see the Janu list.
Flights, properties, the dinner on the sandbar, and the context that makes Aman treat it like the occasion it is — Biirdee builds honeymoons as one seamless booking.
