Raffles begins, and in many ways still ends, with the Raffles Hotel Singapore: opened by the Armenian Sarkies brothers in 1887, home of the Long Bar where the Singapore Sling was mixed, and restored top to bottom in 2019 as an all-suite hotel with a butler for every guest. The brand built on it is now Accor's heritage flagship, about 25 hotels from the Grand Hotel d'Angkor to London's Old War Office, and the one great heritage luxury brand whose stays earn a points currency, ALL Accor.

Raffles stays earn ALL Accor points at 25 points per €10 spent, with elite bonuses of 25–100%, and every point is worth a fixed two euro cents against a future bill. That makes a Raffles stay a modest rebate rather than a redemption opportunity: there is no award chart to game, and no blackout date either. Where was the Singapore Sling invented?
At the Long Bar of the Raffles Hotel Singapore, where the cocktail is credited to barman Ngiam Tong Boon in the early 20th century. The Long Bar still serves it, and Raffles Boston's Long Bar & Terrace pours its own version.
Does every Raffles guest get a butler?
Yes. Butler service for every guest is a Raffles signature, from the Singapore original to London at The OWO and Boston, covering unpacking, pressing and the small requests of a stay.
Can I use points at Raffles hotels?
Yes, ALL Accor points: 2,000 points take €40 off a bill, at Raffles as at any participating Accor hotel. Because the value is fixed, points work best as a discount; an advisor booking that adds breakfast and a credit usually does more for a Raffles stay.
