Accor Hotel Brands by Tier: Every Brand, and the Luxury Ones Worth Booking

Accor, the Paris-based group, runs what it calls "around 45 hotel brands", plus the lifestyle labels of Ennismore, its lifestyle arm, from ibis budget to Raffles. It is the least familiar of the big five to American travelers and the most dominant across Europe, the Middle East, Africa and Asia-Pacific, which is exactly where most of its luxury flags live: Raffles in Singapore, Fairmont's railway castles in the Canadian Rockies, Sofitel Legend's colonial landmarks, and Orient Express, the storied name Accor has turned into a hotel, ship and train brand.

The Luxury Flags, One by One

Orient Express is the newest and most romantic name in Accor's stable: the brand of the legendary train, relaunched as a luxury collection. Its first hotel, Orient Express La Minerva, opened beside the Pantheon in April 2025, and Orient Express Venezia followed in April 2026 in the Palazzo Donà Giovannelli. At sea, the Orient Express Corinthian, a 220-meter sailing yacht with 54 suites, began Mediterranean voyages in 2026 and sails the Caribbean from November; on land, the La Dolce Vita train has run through Italy since April 2025. Accor sold part of its stake in Orient Express in February 2026.

Raffles is Accor's heritage flagship: the 1887 Raffles Hotel Singapore, birthplace of the Singapore Sling, and a portfolio of about 25 grand hotels with a butler for every guest, including London's Old War Office (2023), Boston (2023), Sentosa (2025) and Jeddah (2026). Fairmont (96 hotels) is the brand of North American landmarks built in the railway age, such as Banff Springs, Chateau Lake Louise and Le Château Frontenac in Quebec City, plus The Savoy in London, the Peace Hotel on Shanghai's Bund and the Vier Jahreszeiten in Hamburg, all at rates below the ultra-luxury tier. Sofitel is Accor's French-accented five-star brand (120-plus hotels), and Sofitel Legend its handful of historic landmarks: the Metropole in Hanoi, The Grand in Amsterdam, the People's Grand in Xi'an and the Santa Clara in Cartagena. Two former Egyptian stars have moved on: the Old Cataract in Aswan passed to Mandarin Oriental in 2026, and the Winter Palace in Luxor is closed for restoration, both due back as Mandarin Orientals in 2027.

Faena is Alan Faena's theatrical brand, with Miami Beach and the Buenos Aires original; Banyan Tree, whose resorts earn and redeem ALL points, brings its pool-villa-and-spa formula from Phuket to Mayakoba and Kyoto; and Emblems Collection and MGallery gather independent-minded luxury and boutique hotels under Accor's umbrella.

ALL Accor at Luxury Hotels: The Points Math

ALL Accor (Accor dropped the "Live Limitless" name) is the one big hotel program with a fixed-value currency: 2,000 points take €40 off a bill, so a point is worth two euro cents, around two US cents, wherever you spend it. Stays earn 25 points per €10 at most brands, luxury included, which is a 5% rebate before the elite bonus (25% for Silver, rising to 100% for Diamond). You can spend points in any amount against a stay, which makes them a clean discount at a Raffles or Fairmont and never a windfall.

Transfers in are modest: Bilt at 3:2 (three Bilt points for two Accor points), Capital One and Citi ThankYou at 2:1, and U.S. Bank's Altitude Reserve at 2:1 since August 2026 (UK Amex cardholders can transfer at 3:1). At 2:1 a bank point becomes about one cent of Accor value, which is fine for topping up a Raffles bill and poor next to most airline partners. The honest verdict: earn ALL on the Accor stays you would book anyway, spend it as a discount, and don't move flexible points there on purpose.
