Aman Miami Beach: What Aman Has Published, and Where to Stay Until 2028

Short answer: there is no Aman in Miami you can book tonight. Aman Miami Beach is under development, and Aman's own page for the hotel gives the opening as 2028. Anything you have read promising 2026 or 2027 is older than that page, and we have corrected our own guides to match.

What follows is only what Aman has published itself, with no third-party reporting mixed in, because the rumour mill around this project has been running since the land changed hands. After that, the Miami hotels we actually book today, and how Biirdee gets you into the first season at Aman once the calendar opens.

What Aman says about Aman Miami Beach

Aman describes the hotel as its second urban location in the United States, "following in the footsteps of Aman New York". The address is 3425 Collins Avenue, Miami Beach, on the ocean in Mid-Beach and "adjacent to the Faena District", the stretch Alan Faena turned into the city's art-and-theatre quarter. Aman's tagline for the project is "Aman peace meets Faena flourish", which is a fair summary of the bet: the quietest hotel brand in the world, next door to the loudest block on Collins.

The published facts

Everything in this list is on aman.com as of October 2026.

• Opening 2028. Aman publishes the year only, no month and no rate card.
• The hotel 56 rooms and suites, designed by Jean-Michel Gathy of Denniston, the architect behind Amanyara, Aman Venice and Aman New York. The building keeps the Art Deco bones of the historic Versailles Hotel that stood on the site.
• The residences 22 Aman-branded private residences in a new building by Kengo Kuma, which Aman describes as "angular yet soft minimalism through undulating floors".
• The spa An Aman Spa of 1,860 square metres, or 20,000 square feet. For scale, Aman New York's spa is 25,000 square feet across three floors, and that one anchors the whole hotel.
• Dining and the Club "A collection of exclusive dining venues" and an Aman Club, the members' tier Aman runs in New York and Tokyo. Aman has not named the restaurants or published Club terms.
• The beach Aman says the hotel is "fronted by a stretch of Atlantic Ocean". That is direct beachfront, not across-the-road, which matters on this part of Collins.

What Aman has not said

No rates, no room categories, no restaurant names, no Club pricing, no opening month. Aman habitually publishes none of this until the hotel is close, and for Aman New York the first bookable dates reached preferred partners before they reached the public calendar. We will update this post when the brand publishes more, and we keep a standing request list for the first season; the form at the bottom of this page puts you on it.

A note on timing, because readers keep asking: Aman has said 2028 and we are not going to improve on that. Our Aman guides used to say 2026, which was the earlier expectation, and we have changed them.

Where to stay in Miami until it opens

Two years is a long time to wait for a beach. These are the Miami hotels we book most, in the order we would steer a first-time Aman guest, with the honest reason for each. Faena Miami Beach: the Aman site's neighbour

If you want to see the block Aman is moving onto, stay on it. Faena Miami Beach is Alan Faena's red-and-gold theatre in Mid-Beach: Damien Hirst's gilded mammoth on the beach path, cabaret in the Saxony, Francis Mallmann's open fires at Los Fuegos. It is the opposite of Aman in temperament, which is exactly why the two will make such a good pair. The hotel that Aman is restoring sits right beside it.

Four Seasons Hotel at The Surf Club: the closest thing to Aman now

Ask us which Miami hotel an Aman regular will like today and the answer is the Surf Club in Surfside: Richard Meier's glass around the 1930 Surf Club, Thomas Keller's restaurant, rows of cabanas, and the most elegant rooms in Florida. It is ten minutes north of the Aman site and it shares the same idea, a landmark building given a quiet, serious modern hotel. The Setai, Miami Beach: South Beach with the volume down

The Setai is the grown-up South Beach: Asian serenity inside an Art Deco landmark at Collins and 20th, three pools kept at three temperatures, a courtyard that doubles as the city's best breakfast. The St. Regis Bal Harbour: butler service on the quiet end

North of 44th Street the volume drops and the service depth rises. The St. Regis Bal Harbour is all-suite oceanfront glass with St. Regis butlers and the Bal Harbour Shops across the street. It is the right pick for anyone who wants Aman-level quiet with a big-resort pool scene and Marriott Bonvoy points in play.

Acqualina Resort & Residences: the family beachfront

For space, Acqualina on Sunny Isles is the Mediterranean palace with the biggest suites on the sand, a serious spa and real infrastructure for children. Twenty-five minutes from South Beach, and a world away from it. Another Leading Hotels member, so the same club benefits apply.

When to go

• December to April The season. Art Basel in early December and the Grand Prix in May are the two great spikes; book months out or move north to Bal Harbour.
• January and February The best weather, the highest rates, and the reason the Faena District exists.
• June to September Rates roughly halve, humidity doubles, and it is hurricane season. Fine for a long weekend, with a cancellable rate.
