Silver Ray

Silversea Cruises — Nova class

Silversea’s youngest ship takes the Nova-class idea and settles it into the classic Mediterranean–Caribbean year.

Second ships of a class carry a quiet advantage: the experiments are already finished. Silver Ray entered service in 2024 with the Nova-class formula proven — around 54,700 tons, 728 guests, the same outward-facing architecture — and a calendar pointed at the Mediterranean and Caribbean. She is the youngest ship in the Silversea fleet, and reads like it.

Her deployment is deliberately classic — old-world summers, island winters, crossings between. If Nova is the class’s proof of concept across three regions, Ray is the settled routine: the ship to book when the itinerary is the familiar one and you want the newest possible hull underneath it.

Silver Ray Highlights

The Youngest in the Fleet

A 2024 debut makes Ray the fleet’s newest ship — Nova-class design with the small adjustments a line makes once the class has a season behind it.

Mediterranean–Caribbean Rhythm

Summers in the Mediterranean and winters in the Caribbean give her the most classic deployment in the class — marquee coastlines under the newest hardware.

The Nova Ideas, Continued

Sea-facing public spaces, all-suite accommodations, butlers throughout — the class’s signatures carry over intact, aimed at warm-water itineraries.

Where Silver Ray Typically Sails

Silver Ray: FAQs

How is Silver Ray different from Silver Nova?

They are structural twins — same class, same published figures. The practical differences are age and assignment: Ray is a year newer and keeps to the Mediterranean and Caribbean, while Nova’s calendar adds Alaska. Choose by itinerary and date rather than by ship.

Where does Silver Ray sail?

The Mediterranean carries her summers and the Caribbean her winters, linked by repositioning crossings. It is the standard luxury two-season pattern, executed on the newest ship Silversea has in service.

Is Silver Ray all-inclusive?

Yes — the fleetwide Silversea structure applies, with beverages and gratuities inside the fare and a butler assigned to every suite. New class, familiar economics.
