The Hôtel de Paris is the full Monaco production; take a sea-view room or a casino-square one depending on whether you want sunsets or people-watching. The Hermitage delivers 90% of the polish with none of the lobby parade, at €150+ less. The Metropole wins dinner-first trips outright. Summer swimmers should book Monte-Carlo Beach (seasonal, and the chicest pool on the coast), families Monte-Carlo Bay, and the Fairmont is the pragmatic value pick. The Maybourne Riviera, ten minutes up the hill, is the best modern hotel on this stretch of coast if you do not need to walk to the casino.
