Delta One (2026): Is It Worth It, Every Route From the US, Which Aircraft Have the Suite and How to Book It With Miles
The first business class on a US airline with a door, on Delta's A350s and A330s, and an older open seat on its 767s. Here is what our data says about where Delta One flies, which flights have the suite, what it costs and how to book it for less.
By Biirdee Travel, Luxury Travel Concierge · Updated October 29, 2026

The Short Answer
- Worth it on the aircraft with the Delta One Suite: the A350-900, the A330-900 and the refitted A330s give every seat a sliding door and direct aisle access. On a 767 you get a flat bed in the open, which is fine and not special; the aircraft on your date decides.
- Delta Air Lines flies 121 nonstop routes between the US and its network in our schedule snapshot (between 27 August and 3 September 2026), and our own pages or first class route map name Delta One on 110 of them.
- Our Paris, Amsterdam and London pages' published fare bands for the US routes are the cost anchor below; Delta prices by date and demand, so a Tuesday in February and a Friday in July can be a different fare class apart.
- Two miles doors: 60,000 miles through Delta SkyMiles and 50,000 points through Virgin Atlantic Flying Club; Delta's own number floats with the cash fare and the Flying Club chart does not.
- Against United Airlines Polaris: Delta One wins on the seat where the suite flies and on the transcontinental runs; Polaris wins on the number of places it goes and on the partner award doors.
Is Delta One Worth It?
Yes, with a condition. Delta One is two cabins under one name. The Delta One Suite, introduced on the A350-900 in 2017, was the first business class seat on a US airline with a closing door, and it is on every A350-900, every A330-900 and the A330-200s and -300s Delta has refitted: a 1-2-1 layout, a sliding door, an 18-inch screen and a bed that works for anyone under about six foot three. The 767-300ERs and 767-400ERs carry Delta One without the door, a flat bed in a staggered 1-2-1 with less storage and less privacy. Delta sells both at the same fare.
Where the suite flies, Delta One is the best business class a US airline sells today, and the Delta One lounges at New York JFK, Los Angeles, Boston and Seattle (as of 2026), with sit-down dining and a spa, are a level above a Sky Club. Where a 767 flies, you are buying the schedule and the lounge, not the seat.
Where it is not worth a premium: a 767 route where United Airlines Polaris or a foreign carrier flies a newer seat at the same fare, and any route where Delta's dynamic pricing has run away and a sourced fare on another airline is thousands less. On the transcontinental runs between New York and California, Delta One on an A350 or A330-900 is the seat to beat, with JetBlue Mint the only serious rival.
The Seat
Layout: 1-2-1 on every widebody; the Delta One Suite adds a sliding door on the A350-900, the A330-900 and the refitted A330s. Fitted: A350-900 (Delta One Suite); A330-900 (Delta One Suite); A330-200 and A330-300 (Delta One Suite, refitted); 767-300ER and 767-400ER (Delta One without a door). Not Delta One: the 757s on the thinner transatlantic and transcontinental routes, which carry a lie-flat Delta One in 2-2 without a door; the 737s and the other 757s on the shorter international routes, which sell First Class, not Delta One.
In the suite cabins the stagger alternates, so half the window seats sit against the window with the console on the aisle side and half sit nearer the aisle; the window-side seats are the ones to book, and the centre pairs in the suite cabins have a divider that lowers for two travelling together. The 767-400ER got a refreshed Delta One seat in 2020 that is better than the 767-300ER's, still without a door. Delta's seat map shows the suites as individual boxes with doors drawn in; the open cabin does not.
Every Delta One Route From the US
Every nonstop pair between a US airport and Delta Air Lines's network in our schedule snapshot (between 27 August and 3 September 2026), with the great-circle distance and the gate-to-gate estimate our route pages use. Delta Air Lines flies Delta One and an older cabin side by side, so the aircraft on your date decides; the last column says where our own pages or our first class route map name Delta One, and "schedule only" means we have not confirmed the cabin on that route.

Which US Cities Have Delta One
Twelve US airports have a nonstop Delta One route in our data: New York JFK (33 routes), Atlanta (31 routes), Boston (13 routes), Detroit (10 routes), Minneapolis (9 routes) and Seattle (9 routes), and six more airports. The busiest far ends are Amsterdam, Paris, London Heathrow, Rome and Tokyo Haneda.
49 foreign airports have a Delta nonstop from a US gateway in our snapshot, checked between 27 August and 3 September 2026; 36 of the 121 routes are seasonal (marked in the table), mostly the summer leisure runs from New York, Boston and Atlanta to the Mediterranean. The two premium transcontinental runs, New York JFK to Los Angeles and San Francisco, are in the table because Delta sells Delta One on them on the same widebodies. Delta publishes which aircraft flies each route in its timetable, and the aircraft changes by season, so confirm the suite on your date before you pay for it.
What Delta One Costs
Delta prices business class by date and demand, not by a published chart, and the same seat can double in price between an off-peak Tuesday and a peak Friday. The dated anchors are the published bands our destination pages give for Paris, Amsterdam and London, the three busiest Delta One markets from the US.
Published Fare Bands on Delta One Routes
The typical published round-trip business class ranges our destination pages give for Paris, Amsterdam and London, each dated by its page; the notes say which airlines and routings the band covers.
| Destination | Route | Typical published fare | Notes | As of |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Paris | From the U.S. East Coast | $2,800–$5,500 round trip | As of August 2026; La Compagnie sales regularly set the retail floor near $2,500. | October 2026 |
| Paris | From the U.S. West Coast | $3,600–$6,500 round trip | Nonstops from Los Angeles, San Francisco and Seattle on Air France and Delta. | October 2026 |
| Paris | From the Midwest & South | $3,200–$6,000 round trip | Chicago, Dallas, Atlanta and Miami all have year-round nonstops. | October 2026 |
| Amsterdam | From the U.S. East Coast | $2,700–$5,200 round trip | One of the most competitive transatlantic business markets, as of August 2026. | October 2026 |
| Amsterdam | From the U.S. West Coast | $3,600–$6,800 round trip | KLM nonstops from LAX and SFO, or one stop on Delta or United. | October 2026 |

Booking Delta One With Miles, and for Less Than the Published Fare
Delta SkyMiles: 60,000 miles one-way in Delta business class from the US to Europe, round trip, the low end of the flash sales the SkyMiles guide tracks; standard dynamic pricing runs far higher, often above 100,000 one-way (as of June 2026).
Virgin Atlantic Flying Club: 50,000 points one-way in Delta business class from the US to Europe, the published Flying Club level for Delta One between the US and the UK on an off-peak date; Delta's own flights carry no surcharges through Virgin (as of June 2026).
SkyMiles has no award chart, and a Delta One seat to Europe on a normal date prices from around 100,000 miles one-way and often well above it; the flash sales our SkyMiles guide tracks are the only time the number is reasonable, and they are announced for a few weeks of travel at a time. The fixed-price door is Virgin Atlantic Flying Club, which prices a Delta One seat off its own chart with no carrier surcharge on Delta flights and sees the same saver space Delta releases to partners; Air France-KLM Flying Blue is the other partner door, and its monthly promo awards sometimes include Delta.
Below the published fare, Delta is one of the easier airlines to source: it sells into the consolidator and corporate channels our desk uses, and a sourced Delta One fare on a transatlantic nonstop typically lands under the published figure by a margin that grows with the fare. Send the dates and we price the sourced fare against the Flying Club award.
Delta One vs United Polaris
On the seat, Delta One wins where the suite flies: a door is a door, and Polaris has none until United's new cabins spread through its fleet. On a Delta 767 against a United 787, it is a draw, and United's even-numbered window seats are the more private of the two open cabins.
On the network, United Airlines Polaris wins by a distance: United flies nonstop to more foreign airports from more US gateways, and its Pacific network from San Francisco and its Africa, India and Australia routes have no Delta equivalent. Delta's strengths are Amsterdam and Paris through its KLM and Air France partners, Atlanta's reach into Africa and South America, and the Haneda routes. On miles, Delta's dynamic pricing runs higher at the top than United's, and United has the better partner doors; Delta's one advantage is Flying Club.
Our pick: Delta One where Delta flies an A350 or A330-900 on the pair, and on the transcontinental runs; Polaris everywhere else, which is most places. The two are closer on soft product than their reputations suggest.
The Traps We Steer Clients Around
The aircraft. A Delta One fare buys whichever cabin the aircraft carries, and Delta swaps 767s onto suite routes in the off-season. Check the aircraft type at booking and a week out; the seat map with doors drawn in is the suite.
The SkyMiles number. On most dates a Delta One award through SkyMiles costs more than the cash fare is worth; price it through Flying Club or Flying Blue first, and hold SkyMiles for the flash sales.
The thin routes. The smaller transatlantic runs, Iceland and the smaller British and Irish cities among them, fly on 757s with a lie-flat 2-2 cabin sold as Delta One; a window seat there means climbing over a neighbour. Fine for a six-hour flight, worth knowing.
Where These Numbers Come From
Every route in the table is checked against the schedule snapshot behind our route pages (between 27 August and 3 September 2026), so a route appears only if the airline flies it nonstop; distance and flight time are the same estimates those pages use. The last column says how our own data knows Delta One is on it: "the aircraft in our first class map" means the aircraft that carries Delta One is the one our first class route data lists on the pair; "named on our page" means the destination page for one end of the route names Delta One in its airline notes. Seat facts are Delta Air Lines's published description of the cabin as of October 2026; award prices are the programs' published charts or our desk library, dated where quoted.
The fare bands are quoted from our Paris, Amsterdam and London pages, each dated on the page. The route table keeps to pairs of 4,500 km or more plus the two premium transcontinental runs, which is where Delta sells Delta One.
Delta One FAQs
Is Delta One worth it?
Yes on the aircraft with the Delta One Suite (the A350-900, the A330-900 and the refitted A330s), where every seat has a sliding door and the Delta One lounges at New York JFK, Los Angeles, Boston and Seattle come with the ticket. On a 767 the seat is a flat bed in the open, and the fare is the same, so the aircraft on your date is the whole question.
Which routes have Delta One from the US?
Every Delta long-haul route: 121 nonstop pairs between twelve US airports and 49 foreign ones in our schedule snapshot (between 27 August and 3 September 2026), led by New York JFK, Atlanta, Boston and Detroit, plus the New York JFK to Los Angeles and San Francisco runs. The table above lists every one with its flight time and whether our own pages name Delta One on it.
Which Delta aircraft have the Delta One Suite with a door?
A350-900 (Delta One Suite), A330-900 (Delta One Suite), and A330-200 and A330-300 (Delta One Suite, refitted). The 767-300ER and 767-400ER carry Delta One without a door, and the 757s on the thinner routes a lie-flat 2-2 cabin. Delta's seat map draws the suites as boxes with doors.
How much does Delta One cost?
Delta prices Delta One dynamically, so there is no list price. The fares table above quotes the published business class bands our Paris, Amsterdam and London pages give for the US routes, each dated; a sourced fare through our desk comes in below the published figure.
How do I book Delta One with points?
Delta SkyMiles: 60,000 miles one-way in Delta business class from the US to Europe, round trip, the low end of the flash sales the SkyMiles guide tracks; standard dynamic pricing runs far higher, often above 100,000 one-way (as of June 2026). Virgin Atlantic Flying Club: 50,000 points one-way in Delta business class from the US to Europe, the published Flying Club level for Delta One between the US and the UK on an off-peak date; Delta's own flights carry no surcharges through Virgin (as of June 2026). SkyMiles floats with the cash fare and is only reasonable in a flash sale; Flying Club holds its chart and adds no surcharge on Delta, so the desk prices it first.
Delta One or United Polaris?
Delta One for the seat where Delta flies an A350 or A330-900 with the suite door on the same pair, and on the transcontinental runs; Polaris for the network, the partner award doors and everywhere Delta does not fly. On soft product they are closer than their reputations.
