Singapore Suites vs Emirates First Class (2026): Routes From the US, the Cabins, and What Each Costs
The two A380 first classes everyone compares, measured on what matters to a US traveler: which one you can actually board from home, what the cabin gives you, and what our scans say each one costs.

The Short Answer
For a US traveler the difference starts with the map. Emirates flies to Dubai from twelve US airports in our schedule data, and on ten of them our own tickets or scans show first class. Singapore Suites never touches the US: its nine A380 routes all start in Singapore, and the US doors into Singapore first class are its New York JFK–Frankfurt and Los Angeles–Tokyo Narita sectors.
Both are A380 cabins at their best. Singapore Suites is a closing-door suite with a bed separate from the seat, with The Private Room at Changi for Suites and first class passengers on Singapore flights. Emirates First on the A380 has the onboard shower spa and the bar, and the desk library calls it the reliable Emirates product; Emirates' fully enclosed "Game Changer" suites fly on only about nine 777s.
On cost, the two are rarely bought the same way. Our fare scans put Emirates First at $18,840 round trip from New York JFK and $26,895 from Los Angeles at published fares. Singapore first is a KrisFlyer product in practice: our scanner priced New York–Singapore via Frankfurt at 279,500 miles one-way and Los Angeles–Tokyo at 224,500 in September 2026.

Which One to Book
If the trip is Dubai, the Middle East, or Europe and beyond through Dubai, Emirates, from your own city: it is the only one of the two with first class nonstop from the US, and our ledger shows it is the first class our desk tickets most (64 tickets between November 2024 and September 2026).
If the trip is Asia or Australia, Singapore Suites on the Singapore sector is the prize: Singapore to Sydney, Melbourne, Auckland, Tokyo Narita, Shanghai, Mumbai or Delhi, reached by business on a US nonstop or by the New York–Frankfurt and Los Angeles–Tokyo first class sectors. If the goal is simply the best first class seat on one flight from the US, Emirates is the practical answer, because Suites needs a positioning flight first. If you hold KrisFlyer miles and are going to Asia anyway, Suites is the one to build the trip around.
Where These Numbers Come From
Every route in these tables is checked against the schedule snapshot behind our route pages, so a route appears only if the airline flies it; distance and flight time are the same estimates those pages use. The evidence column says how we know first class is on it: "Desk library" is Biirdee's own carrier and aircraft reference, updated September 2026; "Ticketed by Biirdee" means our desk has issued first class tickets on that airline there between November 2024 and September 2026; "Award scan" means our award scanners have seen first class seats released on it; "Fare scan" means our fare scans have priced a first class fare on the nonstop. Data as of 23 September 2026.
