The Emory London: The All-Suite Newcomer, Reviewed
Maybourne's all-suite Belgravia newcomer beside the Berkeley.
By Biirdee Travel, Luxury Travel Concierge · Updated October 1, 2026

The Emory is the newest of Maybourne's London hotels and the most unusual: London's first all-suite hotel, in Maybourne's words, and the group's sixth when it launched in 2024. It is entered from Old Barrack Yard in Belgravia, beside the Berkeley, in a building by the late Richard Rogers and Ivan Harbour of RSHP: 61 suites over nine floors, topped by a 300-square-meter penthouse by Rigby & Rigby, with public spaces by Rémi Tessier.
Each pair of floors has its own designer (Champalimaud Design, André Fu, Pierre-Yves Rochon and Patricia Urquiola), so the suites change character as you go up. The hotel has abc kitchens by Jean-Georges Vongerichten, the first abc in the UK; The Emory Bar; The Emory Rooftop Bar on the 10th floor; and The Emory Cigar Merchants. It is also home to Surrenne Belgravia, Maybourne's wellness and longevity club, which opened in April 2024 and spans four floors of the building.
The Emory in Brief
- 9.33 out of 10 across only 43 recent reviews (June 2024 to August 2026): 86% scored 9 or more and 9.3% under 7. A small sample, so read it as a first impression.
- No rooms on our booking engine on any of our four test stays or in any month of the next year: the Emory sells through Maybourne's own reservations team and partners.
- Every stay includes daily breakfast, Surrenne Belgravia, a stocked minibar, a 24-hour butler, unpacking and pressing, and the house car within a 2-mile radius.
- Forbes Four-Star (newly rated in 2026) and One MICHELIN Key; No. 32 in The World's 50 Best Hotels 2025 as a new entry, but not in the 2026 list.

What Every Stay Includes
The Emory includes in the rate what Claridge's and the Berkeley charge extra for on their cheapest rates, starting with breakfast. Every stay includes daily breakfast, access to Surrenne Belgravia, a complimentary stocked minibar, a 24-hour butler, an unpacking and pressing service, and the Emory's house car for trips within a 2-mile radius; for guests arriving by private jet, the hotel also offers Flexjet helicopter transfers, in limited number. When you compare its rate with other London hotels, compare it with a suite with breakfast, not a room.
The Emory by Our Numbers
On 1 October 2026 we tried to price the Emory through our own booking engine (the one behind hotels.biirdee.com) on the same four stays we checked at every hotel, 10–13 Nov 2026, 27–30 Dec 2026, 12–15 Mar 2027 and 15–18 Jul 2027, and for a two-night midweek stay in every month of the coming year, and we scored its most recent verified guest reviews ourselves. Two caveats: the engine had no rooms on any of those dates, and the hotel had only 43 reviews in the window, against the 100 we score at most hotels.
The Emory by Our Numbers
Our scoring of the most recent verified reviews on our booking platform (only 43 since June 2024), our text analysis of the written English ones, and our rate checks of 1 October 2026.

What the Scores Say
With only 43 reviews in more than two years, the Emory's numbers are a first impression rather than a verdict: its 9.3% under 7 is four guests. Even so, the pattern is clear enough to read. Service comes up in 57% of written reviews, averaging 9.25, and food in 21%, with a perfect 10.0 on a handful of reviews. The spa scores lower (8.0, in 14% of written reviews), which is worth knowing at the hotel that houses Surrenne.
Solo travelers write almost a third of the reviews (31%), the highest share at any Maybourne hotel; couples write 46% and families 18%.
How the Emory Ranks in London
Of the 14 luxury hotels we scored in London, a selection, ranked by the mean of each hotel's most recent verified reviews (out of 10; 100 per hotel except the Emory), with the share scoring 9 or more and the share under 7. † marks an older review window. Rates: lowest per night on our four test stays, priced 1 October 2026.

| 10= | The Berkeley | 9.12 · 78% · 5% | Five-Star | $1,205 / $1,611 / $1,049 / $1,637 |
On its small sample the Emory is sixth of the 14 luxury hotels we scored in London: behind only the Connaught among Maybourne's hotels there, and ahead of both Claridge's (9.21) and the Berkeley (9.12). The two hotels just above it, the Lanesborough (9.42) and 45 Park Lane (9.39 †), are both Forbes Four-Star like the Emory.
How to Book the Emory
Like the Connaught, the Emory never showed a bookable room on our engine, on any of our test stays or in any month of our calendar. It sells through Maybourne's own reservations team and its partners; travel advisors book it through the GDS under Maybourne's chain code, MI. Send us your dates and the kind of suite you want, and we will request it, floor and designer included.
The Emory FAQs
How much does the Emory cost per night?
We can't quote a rate from our checks: the Emory had no rooms on our booking engine on any of our four test stays or in any month of the next year, because it sells through Maybourne's own reservations team and partners. Every rate includes breakfast and a long list of extras (Surrenne, the minibar, a 24-hour butler, the house car), so compare it with a suite with breakfast elsewhere. Ask us to price your dates.
Is the Emory an all-suite hotel?
Yes. Maybourne calls it London's first all-suite hotel: 61 suites over nine floors (Michelin lists 59), each pair of floors by a different designer, with a 300-square-meter penthouse by Rigby & Rigby at the top.
What is Surrenne?
Maybourne's wellness and longevity club. Surrenne Belgravia opened in April 2024 and spans four floors of the Emory; Emory guests have access with every stay, and so do guests of the Berkeley next door. A second club, Surrenne Riviera, opened at the Maybourne Riviera in June 2025.
Should I book the Emory or the Berkeley?
They sit side by side and share the Surrenne club. The Berkeley is the one on our live rates, from $1,049 a night on our calendar, with a rooftop pool and La Môme London. The Emory is all suites, with breakfast, a butler and the minibar included, and it scored higher with its (few) recent guests: 9.33 against 9.12.
