On Passeig de Gràcia since 1918 and still run by the founding family, a block from La Pedrera: 275 rooms and suites, a collection of some 1,000 modern artworks (Tàpies, Plensa, Anish Kapoor), SOLC for Mediterranean cooking, and El Bar del Majestic with live piano several evenings a week, an easy room for one. La Dolce Vitae on the roof has an open-air, unheated plunge pool, with its bar open in summer, and a view across most of the city; the spa below has a 12-meter heated pool. The 44-story glass tower on the beach beside the Olympic Port, run by Ritz-Carlton since it opened in 1994: 432 rooms and suites, all renovated, with the sea or the city from every side, Paco Pérez's two-Michelin-star Enoteca (temporarily closed as of October 2026), a Ritz-Carlton Club Lounge, a business center and meeting rooms. Outside, a family pool and the Arts Kids program for children, and the adults-only Gehry Pool, an infinity pool facing Frank Gehry's fish sculpture.
