Cheval Blanc St-Barth: Rooms, Season and How to Book

The Caribbean maison on the Baie des Flamands: a Palace with 60 keys, and the one Cheval Blanc that is not on our booking engine at all.

By Biirdee Travel, Luxury Travel Concierge · Updated October 1, 2026

Cheval Blanc St-Barth Isle de France sits on the Baie des Flamands on Saint-Barthélemy. It joined the brand in October 2014 as the third maison, and Cheval Blanc describes it as the first Palace outside metropolitan France and the only Palace in the Caribbean. Jacques Grange did the interiors, Madison Cox the gardens and Jean-Michel Othoniel the art. The house counts 60 rooms, suites and villas, including the five-bedroom Villa de France, and opens from October to August.

It is also the one maison our booking engine does not list at all, so there is no Cheval Blanc St-Barth rate anywhere in our data. Our reading: it sells through the maison's own reservations team and its partners, and that is how a room is secured. We did measure the two St-Barth hotels we could: Le Toiny across a full 12-month calendar, and Rosewood Le Guanahani, which leaves Rosewood on 1 October 2026 and reopens as Airelles Le Guanahani on 1 November 2026. For the other five maisons, start with our guide to all six.

Cheval Blanc St-Barth in Brief

  • The third maison (October 2014), on the Baie des Flamands; the brand calls it the only Palace in the Caribbean.
  • 60 rooms, suites and villas, including 10 beach suites with private infinity pools or hot tubs and the five-bedroom, 650 m² Villa de France.
  • Season: October to August, so the maison closes for roughly September to October each year; we could not verify the exact 2026 reopening date.
  • Forbes Five-Star, Three MICHELIN Keys and France's Palace distinction for 2026.
  • Not on our booking engine at all: rooms are secured on request, directly or through an advisor.
  • On our engine, Le Toiny ran from $1,101 a night (August 2027) to $3,277 (November 2026), and neither St-Barth hotel we could check had a room for 27–30 December.

Rooms, Beach Suites and the Villa de France

The current factsheet breaks the 60 keys into 24 garden or hillside rooms, bungalows, suites and villas; 25 beach or hillside rooms and suites; 10 beach suites with private infinity pools or hot tubs; and the Villa de France, five bedrooms over 650 m² with two infinity pools and its own spa and fitness room. The MICHELIN Guide lists the hotel, as Hotel St-Barth Isle de France, with 39 rooms, a different count from the brand's. There are two swimming pools.

Langosteria, La Cabane and the Beach

Langosteria is the dinner room, Italian seafood served daily from 6 to 11 pm, and the current factsheet lists it in place of La Case, the former Jean Imbert restaurant that older documents name. Lunch is La Cabane on the beach (chef Anthony Suivant), with the Tiki Bar, Le Kiosque and Carte Blanche in-room dining around it.

Spa and Families

The Cheval Blanc Spa offers exclusive Guerlain treatments across five treatment rooms, including a double, plus an outdoor pavilion, and the house scent, Tropical Chic, is by Guerlain's Thierry Wasser. Le Carrousel, the kids' club, is built around the adventures of Aru and Naïa, two young Arawak characters.

Cheval Blanc St-Barth by Our Numbers

On 1 October 2026 we priced the same stays at every hotel through our own booking engine (the one behind hotels.biirdee.com) and scored the 100 most recent verified guest reviews at each hotel ourselves. The test stays were 10–13 Nov 2026, 27–30 Dec 2026, 12–15 Mar 2027 and 15–18 Jul 2027, and a 12-month calendar priced the same two-night midweek stay (Tuesday to Thursday of the third week) in every month from November 2026 to October 2027. Rates are the lowest per night the engine charges at booking; taxes the hotel collects at checkout are extra, and live rates change daily, so these are the rates of 1 October 2026.

Cheval Blanc St-Barth is not on our booking engine at all: there is no listing to price, on any date, which is why this page has no Cheval Blanc St-Barth rate. What we can show is the island around it. Le Toiny, Forbes Recommended, priced in nine of the twelve months on our calendar, and for our 15–18 July 2027 stay only its suites were left, from $1,289 a night. Rosewood Le Guanahani, Forbes Four-Star, priced in just three months, April to June 2027, and in none of our four test stays.

Le Guanahani is changing brands: it leaves Rosewood on 1 October 2026 and reopens as Airelles Le Guanahani on 1 November 2026, so its rates and reviews here describe the Rosewood years. One more disclosure: our agents have priced Cheval Blanc only twice, and our booking records (stays from November 2024 to April 2027) show no Cheval Blanc bookings, so this page reports engine checks and published facts, not booking anecdotes.

Reading the Island's Numbers

Le Toiny gives the clearest picture of St-Barth's year on our engine: $3,277 a night for a midweek stay in November 2026, its priciest month, $1,539 in mid-December, $2,646 to $2,969 in January and February, $1,848 in April, then $1,101 to $1,212 from May to August. Nothing was bookable in March, September or October, and nothing for our 27–30 December stay. Its July rate came with no taxes collected at the hotel on top ($1,316 a night with free cancellation).

Le Guanahani's guests rate it almost perfectly, 9.91 out of 10 with 96% scoring 9 or more and none under 7, and service came up in 78% of written reviews, averaging 9.89. But that is only 46 reviews, written between July 2022 and November 2025, under a brand the hotel is now leaving. Its calendar ran from $2,312 a night in June 2027 to $3,427 in April.

For festive dates the message is blunt: neither St-Barth hotel we could check had a room for 27–30 December 2026, and Cheval Blanc is not on the engine to try. Our advice: treat festive St-Barth as a request to make early, not a rate to watch.

How a Room Is Actually Secured

With no engine listing, every Cheval Blanc St-Barth stay starts as a request to the maison: the dates, the room type (garden or hillside, beach, one of the 10 beach suites with its own pool or hot tub, or the Villa de France) and the party size. Send it directly or through a travel advisor; we make these requests for our clients and come back with what the maison confirms, with its rate and its terms. How to book Cheval Blanc covers the process across the six maisons, and Cheval Blanc prices has the rates we could measure.

When to Go and When to Book

The maison opens from October to August. On our engine, the island's lowest-priced stretch was May to August (Le Toiny at $1,101 to $1,212 a night), and its priciest months were November ($3,277) and February ($2,969). For festive weeks, ask as early as you can.

For the wider island, see the best St. Barts hotels and the festive-season hotels guide. For the brand, the Indian Ocean maisons are Cheval Blanc Randheli and Cheval Blanc Seychelles.

Cheval Blanc St-Barth FAQs

Can I book Cheval Blanc St-Barth online?

Not through our engine: it is the one Cheval Blanc maison our booking engine does not list at all. Rooms are secured by request to the maison, directly or through an advisor like us.

When is Cheval Blanc St-Barth open?

The maison gives its season as October to August, so it closes for roughly September to October each year. We could not verify the exact 2026 reopening date.

How many rooms does Cheval Blanc St-Barth have?

60 rooms, suites and villas, per the maison's current site and factsheet (its careers page says 61 keys; the MICHELIN Guide lists 39 rooms). That includes 10 beach suites with private infinity pools or hot tubs and the five-bedroom Villa de France.

How much does a St-Barth hotel cost at Christmas?

We could not find out on our engine: for 27–30 December 2026, neither Le Toiny nor Rosewood Le Guanahani had a room, and Cheval Blanc St-Barth is not listed. Festive stays on the island are secured by request, early.

What is happening to Rosewood Le Guanahani?

It leaves Rosewood on 1 October 2026 and reopens as Airelles Le Guanahani on 1 November 2026. Under Rosewood it held Two MICHELIN Keys and a Forbes Four-Star rating, and it scored 9.91 out of 10 across only 46 reviews on our platform.

Is Cheval Blanc St-Barth good for families?

Yes. Le Carrousel, the kids' club, is built around two young Arawak characters, Aru and Naïa, and the Villa de France has five bedrooms.

What Biirdee Does

A concierge travel agency: paid by the hotel, never by you

Biirdee Travel books luxury hotels through preferred-partner programs: you pay the same rate as booking direct, the partner benefits attach to your reservation, and a human concierge handles the details end to end.

  1. Tell us the trip

Destination or property, rough dates, who’s traveling. The form takes two minutes and commits you to nothing.

  2. A concierge replies within hours

A real person checks availability, compares properties honestly, and confirms the perks your stay qualifies for: upgrades, breakfast, and credits where available.

  3. Book at the same rate as direct

The hotel pays our commission out of the rate you’d pay anyway, so the perks cost you nothing. Before and during the trip, one concierge on WhatsApp handles requests and changes.

Flying too? The same team books business and first class: flights and hotels aligned as one itinerary, one point of contact.
