Cheval Blanc Randheli: Villas, Maldives Rival Rates and How to Book

Cheval Blanc Randheli opened in November 2013 as the second maison, on Randheli Island in the Noonu Atoll, 40 minutes north of Malé. Jean-Michel Gathy designed all 46 villas, including a four-bedroom Private Island villa on its own island, and every villa has a 12.5 m infinity pool. The maison runs five restaurants and three bars, a Guerlain spa on its own island, Le Carrousel and Le Paddock for children and teens, and its own private seaplane. Its 2024 press kit lists it as open year-round.

For 2026 it holds a Forbes Five-Star rating and Three MICHELIN Keys, the maximum. What it does not do is sell through our booking engine: on 1 October 2026 we found no villas on any of our four test stays or in any month through October 2027. So we priced the resorts it competes with instead, month by month, and that calendar shows what this tier of the Maldives costs, and when. The Villas

The factsheet mix: 15 Island Villas, 11 Garden Water Villas, 10 Lagoon Villas, 4 Water Villas, 4 Lagoon Garden Villas, 1 Horizon Villa and the four-bedroom Private Island villa on its own island. Every one has a 12.5 m infinity pool, and the maison's signature artwork is by Vincent Beaurin. The MICHELIN Keys listing counts the same 46.

Five Restaurants, Three Bars

Randheli has its own Le 1947, the signature French fine-dining room that shares its name with the Courchevel original, plus La Table de Partage, The White, Diptyque for Japanese and East Asian cooking with teppanyaki, and Deelani, Mediterranean and Italian, over the water. The Maldives has no MICHELIN restaurant guide, so the stars that decorate Cheval Blanc Courchevel and Cheval Blanc Paris do not apply here.

Spa Island, Children and the Seaplane

The Cheval Blanc Spa sits on its own island, with Guerlain rituals the maison says are the only ones in the Maldives, four single and two double Orchidée treatment villas and a Leonor Greyl hair spa. Families get Le Carrousel, with a waterpark and splash pad, and Le Paddock for teens, and there is a surf simulator, which the maison calls the Maldives' only one. The maison also has its own private seaplane and seaplane salon.

Cheval Blanc Randheli by Our Numbers

On 1 October 2026 we priced the same stays at every hotel through our own booking engine (the one behind hotels.biirdee.com) and scored the 100 most recent verified guest reviews at each hotel ourselves. The test stays were 10–13 Nov 2026, 27–30 Dec 2026, 12–15 Mar 2027 and 15–18 Jul 2027, and a 12-month calendar priced the same two-night midweek stay (Tuesday to Thursday of the third week) in every month from November 2026 to October 2027. Rates are the lowest per night the engine charges at booking; taxes the resort collects at checkout are extra, and live rates change daily, so these are the rates of 1 October 2026.

Randheli returned nothing: no villas on any of the four stays and none in any month, though the maison lists itself as open year-round. It has no reviews on our platform either. Our reading: it sells through its own reservations team and partners, not through open engines. So we priced the resorts it is most often compared with on the same dates; every lowest rate below bought a villa, pavilion or bungalow.

One disclosure: our agents have priced Cheval Blanc only twice, and our booking records (stays from November 2024 to April 2027) show no Cheval Blanc bookings, so this page reports engine checks and published facts, not booking anecdotes.

What the Maldives Numbers Say

Three things stand out. First, the season: every one of the six calendar rivals had its cheapest month between May and September, and five of them peaked between January and April. One&Only Reethi Rah went from $3,813 a night in April to $2,545 in May; Soneva Fushi, with the highest single rate on the calendar, peaked at $5,148 in February and fell to $2,601 in June. Waldorf Astoria Ithaafushi was the exception, priciest in November ($4,551).

Second, the festive weeks: for 27–30 December only Four Seasons Kuda Huraa had a villa, at $4,732 a night; the other six rivals, and Randheli, had nothing. Third, the add-ons: JOALI's lowest rates came with roughly $1,240 to $1,538 a night collected at the resort and Landaa Giraavaru's with roughly $519 to $799, so compare totals, not headline rates.

Guest scores are thin at this level: four of the six calendar rivals have no reviews on our platform at all, and the scored ones come with older review windows. Four Seasons Kuda Huraa has the deepest record, 9.28 across 100 reviews since July 2023; The Ritz-Carlton Fari Islands scored 9.69 across only 35. What it means for Randheli: we cannot see its own pricing, but it sells in this tier, and our expectation, not a measurement, is that its year follows the same shape.

How a Villa Is Actually Secured

Because Randheli released nothing to our engine across a full year, a stay starts as a request: the dates, the villa type (an Island, Lagoon, Water or Garden Water villa, the Horizon Villa or the Private Island) and the party size go to the maison's reservations team, directly or through a travel advisor, and the maison confirms availability, its rate and its terms. When to Go and When to Book

Randheli lists itself as open year-round, so the choice is about price and occasion. On our rival calendar, May to September was the lowest-priced stretch at all six resorts and January to April the priciest at five; for our 27–30 December stay, only one resort in our set had a villa on our engine. Our advice: if your dates are flexible, look at May to September; if they are fixed on the peak months or on Christmas, ask as early as you can.
