The George V (1928, Four Seasons since 1999) is the flagship of the Four Seasons portfolio and, by most working definitions, the best city hotel in the world. The famous lobby florals (tens of thousands of stems, recomposed weekly) are the visible tip of a service operation that runs deeper than anywhere else in Paris: this is the hotel where staff remember a preference you mentioned once, three visits ago.
The numbers behind the legend: 244 keys, a dining trio holding five Michelin stars between them (Le Cinq, L'Orangerie, Le George), a marble pool-and-spa level fresh from the 2025–26 redesign, and Three MICHELIN Keys in 2026. On our 1 October 2026 rate check the cheapest room ran $2,359–3,442 a night depending on the month, rising steeply for the terrace suites with Eiffel Tower sightlines.
Booking the George V Well
- Entry "Superior" rooms are generous by Paris standards (~40m²), but the value sweet spot is the Deluxe category facing the courtyard: quieter and often upgraded.
- Terrace suites (especially the seventh-floor Eiffel-view rooms) book out months ahead for May–June and September–October. On our 12-month rate check the cheapest months for an entry room were November, March and April ($2,359–2,436 a night); January was the dearest ($3,442).

On 1 October 2026 we priced the same four stays at the George V and six other Paris luxury hotels through our own booking engine (the one behind hotels.biirdee.com), plus a two-night midweek stay in every month for a year, and scored the hotel's most recent verified guest reviews ourselves. Rates are the lowest per night the engine charged at booking that day; taxes the hotel collects at checkout are extra, and live rates change daily. What the Numbers Say
The George V was the most expensive of the seven Paris luxury hotels we track on every one of our four test stays, and its guest score is excellent rather than untouchable: 9.43 across its 88 reviews on our platform, third in Paris behind the Peninsula (9.60) and the Crillon (9.54), all three on older review windows. Service is what guests write about, in 65% of written reviews at an average of 9.37; food comes up in 28% and averages 8.56, below the hotel's overall score. The cheapest rate on all four stays was room only, with no breakfast-inclusive version offered, which is one more reason the Preferred Partner breakfast matters here.
When to go: on our 12-month calendar the cheapest midweek nights were November ($2,359), March ($2,425) and April ($2,436); the dearest were January ($3,442) and September ($3,355), and our engine had no rooms for our June and October dates. The test stays tell the same story: New Year ($3,809) and mid-July ($3,683) cost about half as much again as November ($2,459). Expect about $269–384 a night in taxes collected at the hotel on top.

On our 1 October 2026 check, the cheapest room cost $2,359–3,442 a night for a midweek stay, depending on the month, and $2,459–3,809 on our four test stays (New Year the dearest). The cheapest suite was $4,863 in November, $5,286 in March and $7,190 over New Year. Taxes of about $269–384 a night are collected at the hotel on top, and our clients' bookings, taxes in, have run to a median of about $4,700 a night.
When is the George V cheapest?
November: $2,359 a night midweek on our calendar, then March ($2,425) and April ($2,436). January ($3,442) and September ($3,355) were the dearest months, and our engine had no rooms for our June and October dates.
Is breakfast included at the George V?
Not in the rates our engine found: the cheapest rate on all four test stays was room only, and no breakfast-inclusive version was offered. A Preferred Partner booking adds daily breakfast for two (worth about €60 a head if paid), the simplest way to have it included.
Is the George V better than the Ritz Paris?
