Rosewood Hotels: Every Property, Rates & How to Book
The fastest-rising name in ultra-luxury: 42 hotels, five openings in a single year, and a flag on half the world's great addresses.

Rosewood began as a Dallas one-off (the Mansion on Turtle Creek, 1979) and is now luxury hotellerie's most aggressive collector of icons. Owned by Hong Kong's Chow Tai Fook/New World family, the brand runs on a "A Sense of Place" philosophy; no two Rosewoods look alike, and the trophy list is absurd: The Carlyle in New York, the Hôtel de Crillon on Place de la Concorde, London's former US Embassy (The Chancery, 2025), Amsterdam's Palace of Justice (2025), and the de facto flagship, Rosewood Hong Kong.
The past 18 months were the brand's biggest sprint ever (Amsterdam, The Chancery, Mandarina, its first ski resort at Courchevel and Doha all opened within a year), with Mexico City, Crete's Blue Palace, Milan, Rome and Miami Beach's Raleigh in the pipeline.

- Guests: 9.14 out of 10 across 1,400 recent reviews at the 14 Rosewoods with enough of them. Rosewood Sao Paulo leads at 9.70 (and is No.6 in The 50 Best Hotels 2026, where Rosewood Hong Kong is No.1 for the second year); Rosewood Baha Mar trails at 8.10.

On 1 October 2026 we priced the same stays at every Rosewood through our own booking engine (the one behind hotels.biirdee.com) and scored the 100 most recent verified guest reviews at each hotel ourselves: the mean out of 10, the share scoring 9 or more and the share under 7. The test stays were 10–13 Nov 2026, 27–30 Dec 2026, 12–15 Mar 2027 and 15–18 Jul 2027; rates are the lowest per night the engine charged that day, and taxes the hotel collects at checkout are extra.
Only 14 of the 42 Rosewoods have enough recent reviews to score. The newest (Amsterdam, the Chancery, Mandarina, Courchevel, Doha) have few or none on our platform yet, and at others, the Crillon among them, the latest 100 reviews reach back before June 2024. We flag those † and leave them out of the brand averages.

Our own numbers, pulled 1 October 2026: the 100 most recent verified reviews at every hotel with enough of them on our booking platform, the Forbes Travel Guide 2026 ratings, and the lowest rate per night on the same three stays (10–13 Nov 2026, 12–15 Mar 2027, 15–18 Jul 2027) at every hotel each brand had on sale. Aman and Cheval Blanc sell too few rooms online to score.

What the Numbers Say
Rosewood lands sixth of the eight brands we could score, level with Dorchester Collection on 9.14 and a whisker behind Four Seasons (9.17) and just behind Mandarin Oriental (9.21); Belmond (9.53) and the Peninsula (9.26) are clear of it. Its share of disappointed guests, 8.8% scoring under 7, is the third-highest, after Ritz-Carlton and Dorchester Collection. The average hides a wide spread: Rosewood Sao Paulo (9.70), Hotel Georgia (9.42), Hong Kong (9.41) and Bangkok (9.40) score with the best hotels of any brand, while Baha Mar (8.10, with 29% of guests under 7) and Rosewood London (8.73) pull the brand down. On long-run platform scores the picture is kinder: 11 of 28 rated Rosewoods sit at 9.5 or above and only one below 9.0.
Rosewood is also one of the dearer brands. Its median lowest rate ran $908–1,058 a night across our four stays, more than Four Seasons, Mandarin Oriental and Ritz-Carlton on every stay in the league table, and in March only Dorchester Collection and Maybourne cost more. Free cancellation, by contrast, is nearly free: a median 1–4% on top of the cheapest rate, so the flexible rate that Elite-channel bookings use costs barely more than a prepaid one. The step up to a suite is gentle too (1.40x–1.43x the cheapest room).
Breakfast is the exception. Adding it for two raised the same room by a median $161–225 a night, and Rosewood is the only one of the ten brands where it never added less than $161 on any of our stays (Four Seasons ran $68–247, the Peninsula $67–123, Ritz-Carlton $74–88). Much of it is geography: most Rosewoods are resorts or hotels in the Americas and Europe, where the breakfast rate often runs hundreds of dollars above room-only ($391–596 a night at Baha Mar, $239–562 at Rosewood Amsterdam, $231–394 at the Carlyle, $159–388 at the Inn of the Anasazi), while in Asia it is a small add-on ($39–62 in Guangzhou, $55–96 in Beijing, $46–121 in Bangkok). It matters because breakfast is rarely in the price: only 16–33% of Rosewoods included it in their cheapest rate. It is also where reviews dip: breakfast came up in 17.2% of written reviews, and those averaged 8.59 against 9.10 for the rest. When to Go
Across the brand, the cheapest months for our two-night midweek stay were March and February (a median $871 and $872 a night) and January ($880); November ($1,146) and May ($1,073) were the dearest (October 2027, with only 11 hotels priced, is too thin to compare). The mid-December stay, before Christmas, was the single cheapest month at nine hotels, more than any other month, among them Kona Village ($1,476), Little Dix Bay ($1,163) and Castiglion del Bosco ($1,001).
The cities each keep their own calendar. Rosewood Hong Kong spiked in November ($2,819; only suites were left on our 10–13 Nov stay) and held at $897–974 every other month. The Crillon ran from $1,942 in February to $3,057 in June, the Carlyle from $839 in March to $3,793 in September, and Rosewood London was cheapest in January and February ($673). Bangkok never topped $499 on the midweek calendar, though 27–30 December cost $767. Las Ventanas and Mayakoba are a late-summer buy (Las Ventanas $1,010 from July to September, Mayakoba $945 in September) and peak in spring. Le Guanahani is missing from the resort table because it leaves Rosewood on 1 October 2026 and reopens as Airelles Le Guanahani on 1 November. Rosewood Sao Paulo is the standout: 9.70, with 92% of guests scoring 9 or more and 1% under 7, and it is also No.6 in The 50 Best Hotels 2026 (Best Hotel in South America) with Three MICHELIN Keys. Hotel Georgia in Vancouver (9.42) is the quiet overachiever at $414–948 a night, and Rosewood Bangkok pairs a 9.40 with $286–336 a night on three of our four stays: our pick for value in the brand.
At the bottom, Baha Mar is the outlier: 8.10, with 29% of guests under 7, at $1,200–2,117 a night on our dates. Rosewood London is the surprise: Forbes Five-Star and No.56 in The 50 Best Hotels 2026, yet 8.73 with recent guests and 13th of the 14 London luxury hotels we scored; breakfast came up in 28% of its written reviews, and those averaged 7.4. On our same-dates check (priced 1 October 2026) the median lowest rate across Rosewood was $1,058 a night for 10–13 Nov 2026, $1,040 for 27–30 Dec, $908 for 12–15 Mar 2027 and $943 for 15–18 Jul 2027, before the taxes some hotels collect at checkout. The cheapest stays were Rosewood Phnom Penh ($186 in March), Doha ($202 in July) and Abu Dhabi ($263 in March); the dearest were Kauri Cliffs ($5,992 in November, suites only) and Mandarina ($5,351 between Christmas and New Year, suites only). When is Rosewood cheapest?
February and March, brand-wide: the median midweek rate was $872 and $871 a night, against $1,146 in November. Mid-December was the cheapest month at nine hotels, more than any other. Rosewood Elite: the Program You Can't Join (But Can Use)
Rosewood runs no points program and has said plainly it doesn't want one. Rosewood Elite, its only structured benefits scheme, is invitation-only for top luxury travel agencies. An Elite booking is made at the standard flexible rate, identical to rosewoodhotels.com, and adds daily breakfast for two, a ~$100 property credit per stay, upgrade priority, and early/late check-in and out.
That makes the booking channel the entire game, exactly as with Aman. Biirdee books Rosewood with the Elite-grade benefits attached: a property credit, upgrade priority and breakfast where the rate does not already include it. Pipeline watchers: Mexico City, Crete (Blue Palace), Milan, Rome and The Raleigh Miami Beach are all slated for 2026–27; we track opening dates and soft-opening rates for clients.

How many Rosewood hotels are there?
42 open as of June 2026, after the brand's fastest-ever expansion: five openings (Amsterdam, The Chancery London, Mandarina, Courchevel, Doha) landed within about a year. Le Guanahani in St. Barth leaves the brand on 1 October 2026 and reopens as Airelles Le Guanahani on 1 November.
Does Rosewood have a loyalty program?
No. No points, no member tiers. Rosewood Elite is an invitation-only travel-advisor program; its benefits (breakfast, ~$100 credit, upgrades) come through booking with an affiliated advisor or concierge at the same rate as direct.
What is Rosewood's best hotel?
Rosewood Hong Kong is the flagship and, for the second year running, No.1 in The 50 Best Hotels (2026), whose Ferrari Trento Most Admired Hotel Group Award also went to Rosewood. On our scoring of recent guest reviews, Rosewood Sao Paulo leads (9.70), with Hotel Georgia and Hong Kong next.
