One&Only Resorts: Every Resort, Rates & How to Book

One&Only does one thing: destination resorts where the resort is the destination. No business hotels, no airport properties: the fourteen addresses we track were chosen for geography first, from a 44-hectare Maldivian island (Reethi Rah) to the original 1956 Palmilla estate in Los Cabos to a gorilla-trekking lodge in Rwanda. The brand belongs to Kerzner International, and its current chapter is a pivot west: One&Only Moonlight Basin in Big Sky, Montana (November 2025) was simultaneously the brand's first US property and first ski resort, with Hudson Valley and Courchevel to follow.

Worth knowing before you search old lists: Wolgan Valley (Australia) and Desaru Coast (Malaysia) have both left the brand; the latter is now a Mandarin Oriental.

One&Only by Our Numbers

On 3 October 2026 we priced the same stays at all fourteen One&Only resorts we track through our own booking engine (the one behind hotels.biirdee.com), for two adults: 10–13 Nov 2026, 27–30 Dec 2026, 12–15 Mar 2027 and 15–18 Jul 2027, plus a two-night midweek stay in every month to October 2027. We also scored the 100 most recent verified guest reviews at each resort ourselves. Rates are the lowest per night the engine charged at booking; taxes the resort collects at checkout are extra. Every resort, month by month, is on One&Only prices; the full ranking is on the best One&Only resorts.

On guest reviews One&Only is near the top but not at it. Its 9.30 is fourth of the eleven brands we could score, behind Capella (9.69), Belmond (9.53) and Maybourne (9.40) and just ahead of The Peninsula (9.26); 83% of recent guests scored their stay 9 or more and 6% under 7, a smaller unhappy share than Four Seasons (8.2%), Rosewood (8.8%) or Ritz-Carlton (12.3%). None of its nine scored resorts has a long-run score under 9.0. Families rate it slightly higher than couples (9.32 against 9.24), and the reviews that mention the food average 9.63, against 9.21 for those that don't.

On price it is one of the dearest brands we track. Its median lowest rate ($1,223 / $1,320 / $1,414 on our November, March and July stays) was beaten only by Dorchester Collection on all three, and by Maybourne in November and July; it ran well above Four Seasons ($838 / $806 / $789) and roughly three times Waldorf Astoria. Part of that is what you get: at 92–100% of resorts the cheapest rate already included breakfast, which is why the breakfast column says "Not comparable" rather than quoting a premium. Forbes gives six of its twelve rated resorts Five Stars.

When to Go

Across the brand, April ($1,122), September ($1,131) and mid-December ($1,150) had the lowest median rates in our monthly checks, and February ($1,495) and March ($1,467) the highest. Resort by resort, August is the cheapest month at seven of the thirteen we could price for most of the year: Reethi Rah ($2,620, flat from May to September), Le Saint Géran ($924), Palmilla ($815), Mandarina ($1,048), The Palm ($533), Royal Mirage ($286) and One Za'abeel ($336). Portonovi runs the other way, cheapest in November ($321) and dearest in August ($1,797).

Avoid the holiday week if you can. For 27–30 Dec 2026 the median rate jumped to $2,728 a night, Mandarina went from $1,257 in November to $4,997 and Le Saint Géran from $1,174 to $3,695, and four resorts had nothing on sale; a midweek stay in the third week of December cost a brand median of $1,150. Kéa Island is seasonal: on our engine it had rooms only from May to September 2027.

The top three are all Forbes Five-Star and all near-flawless with recent guests: 1–2% of reviews under 7. The bottom three are not bad resorts, but each has a weak spot in the written reviews: the beach at Aesthesis (18% of reviews mention it, averaging 7.62), the service at Le Saint Géran (70% mention it, averaging 8.37), and an 11% share of unhappy guests at One Za'abeel. Mandarina, which misses the ranking only because its reviews reach back to 2020, averages 9.53 and holds Three MICHELIN Keys, the most in the brand.

Booking One&Only Without a Loyalty Program

Kerzner runs no points scheme for One&Only by policy (Atlantis's casino-style program is a separate world); as its chief executive put it in 2023, "luxury can not be traded for points". So the channel decides what your stay includes. Breakfast is rarely the issue: the cheapest rate already included it at 92–100% of resorts on our stays. Booked through a preferred partner such as Biirdee, a One&Only stay adds a property credit (typically $100 or more where the program offers one), upgrade priority, early check-in and late check-out priority, VIP recognition and our WhatsApp concierge, plus daily breakfast where the rate does not already include it.

Season selection is the other half of the value. Dubai is cheapest in summer (Royal Mirage at $286 a night in June and August), Reethi Rah drops to $2,620 from May to September against $3,251–3,926 from November to April, and Portonovi is the winter bargain at $321–332 from November to March. Over New Year four of the fourteen resorts had nothing on sale when we checked in early October, so start festive planning early. The pipeline (Antigua, Hudson Valley in 2028, Fiji in 2029 and Courchevel in 2030) is worth tracking if you collect openings.
