Estimates, not quotes
Each figure is the whole aircraft, one way, in US dollars, before any empty-leg discount. It comes from a model of what clients paid on charters booked through our desk, so a quote for your dates can land outside the range. A return trip with the aircraft waiting for you is priced differently from two one-way flights; our desk quotes both.

Rates by aircraft size
An estimate is the flight time plus 3 hours, times the hourly rate for the aircraft size. The extra hours stand for what a one-way trip carries beyond its own flight: bringing the aircraft to you or home again, minimum charges and fees. So short flights cost more per hour flown than long ones.
| Aircraft size | Passengers | Rate per hour | 1-hour flight | 3-hour flight |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Midsize jete.g. Cessna Citation XLS+ | 7 to 8 | $5,750 | $16,000 to $28,000 | $24,000 to $41,000 |
| Super-midsize jete.g. Bombardier Challenger 350 | 8 to 10 | $6,500 | $18,000 to $31,000 | $27,000 to $47,000 |
| Heavy jete.g. Gulfstream G450 | 11 to 14 | $7,250 | $20,000 to $35,000 | $30,000 to $52,000 |
| Ultra-long-range jete.g. Bombardier Global 6000 | 13 to 16 | $8,750 | $25,000 to $42,000 | $37,000 to $63,000 |
Ranges run from 70 to 120 percent of the model's figure, where most of the charters we set it against fell. Last calibrated October 2026. We have booked too few turboprops and light jets to price them here. Where one suits your trip, it usually costs less than a midsize jet; ask the desk for a quote.

What moves a charter price
- Where the aircraft is. A jet based at your departure airport saves the positioning flight the index averages in. One based far away adds to it.
- Your dates. Holidays, ski weeks and event weekends fill the fleet, and prices rise with demand.
- Coming back. A return trip a few days later can cost less than two one-way flights if the aircraft waits, or more if the crew needs hotels for a week.
- Fees and taxes. Landing and handling fees, catering, and a 7.5 percent federal excise tax on most US charters. Our quotes include them in one all-in price.
- Empty legs. When an aircraft flies empty on your route, the price can fall well under the range. Find empty legs.
