Reethi Rah is the One&Only portfolio's crown jewel and the Maldives' most famous address: the island where football royalty, actual royalty and the Instagram aristocracy overlap each festive season. The scale is the point: 44 hectares (most Maldivian islands are a tenth of that), twelve distinct beaches, and only ~130 villas, so the density is closer to a private estate than a resort.
It's 45 minutes from Malé by the resort's yacht or 15 by seaplane. Rates tell the season: on our 3 October 2026 checks a two-night midweek stay cost $2,620 a night in every month from May to September 2027 and $3,251–3,926 from November to April. Christmas and New Year carry multi-night minimums, and the island books out early: when we checked, nothing was bookable for 27–30 December 2026.
Booking Reethi Rah Well
- Recent guests score it 9.88 out of 10, the highest of any One&Only and of the Maldives resorts we scored; families wrote 51% of the reviews.
- Beach Villas are the brand's best product; the Water Villas are excellent but the beaches are what no rival island can match. Grand Beach Villas with pools are the sweet spot.
- May to September is the cheapest stretch on our numbers: $2,620 a night in every month, against $3,251–3,926 from November to April.
- Festive (Dec 20–Jan 5) carries minimum stays and goes early: on 3 October 2026 nothing was bookable for 27–30 December.
- No loyalty program exists, so the booking channel decides your perks: booked through a preferred partner such as Biirdee, you add a property credit, upgrade priority, early check-in and late check-out priority, and daily breakfast where the rate does not already include it.
- Half-board adds value here; the island's restaurants are priced à la carte at Mayfair levels.

On 3 October 2026 we priced One&Only Reethi Rah through our own booking engine (the one behind hotels.biirdee.com) for two adults on four test stays and on a two-night midweek stay (Tuesday to Thursday of the third week) in every month to October 2027, and we scored its 100 most recent verified guest reviews ourselves. Our Read on the Numbers
Reethi Rah is the best-reviewed Maldives resort we track, and the only one whose score rests on plenty of recent reviews: The Ritz-Carlton at Fari Islands (9.69) and Landaa Giraavaru (9.82) score on only 35 and 11 recent reviews, and the Waldorf Astoria (9.65) and Kuda Huraa (9.28) on windows reaching back before June 2024. It is a family island above all: families wrote 51% of recent reviews, the kids come up in 33% of them (averaging 9.93), and every review that mentions the spa, the pool or the view scored 10.0.
On price it sits in the middle of the villa resorts. In November, at $3,251 a night, it was below the Waldorf Astoria ($4,003), Soneva Fushi ($3,303) and JOALI ($3,319) but above The Ritz-Carlton ($2,926); in March, at $3,861, below Soneva Fushi ($4,475) and JOALI ($4,395) but above the Waldorf ($3,779) and The Ritz-Carlton ($3,436); in July, at $2,620, below The Ritz-Carlton ($2,793) and a little above Soneva Fushi ($2,601) and JOALI ($2,537). Kuda Huraa is the value outlier at $875–1,693 outside the holidays, and the only resort on this list with rooms on sale for 27–30 December ($4,732). Breakfast came with the cheapest villa in November; in March and July the cheapest rate was room only, and breakfast-inclusive rates started at $3,962 and $2,698.

On our 3 October 2026 checks the lowest rate was $3,251 a night for 10–13 Nov 2026, $3,861 for 12–15 Mar 2027 and $2,620 for 15–18 Jul 2027, a Beach Villa every time; nothing was bookable for 27–30 Dec 2026. Taxes collected at checkout added about $24–545 a night, and transfers (yacht or seaplane) are charged separately.
When is Reethi Rah cheapest?
From May to September 2027: our monthly checks found $2,620 a night in every one of those months, against $3,251–3,926 from November to April. April was the priciest month ($3,926), and February and October 2027 had no rooms on sale when we checked.
Is breakfast included at Reethi Rah?
Sometimes. On our November stay the cheapest villa ($3,251) included breakfast; in March and July the cheapest rate was room only, and the lowest rate with breakfast was $3,962 and $2,698 a night. Booked through a preferred partner, daily breakfast is added where the rate does not already include it.
Is Reethi Rah good for families?
Very, on our numbers: families wrote 51% of its 100 most recent reviews, and the reviews that mention the kids average 9.93 out of 10, against 9.88 for the resort overall.
Beach villa or water villa?
Beach; Reethi Rah's twelve beaches are its unfair advantage, and the beach villas' gardens give privacy water villas can't. Choose a water villa only if overwater sleeping is the trip's point.
