How to Book Four Seasons: Channels, Timing and Perks

Four Seasons has no points, so the channel and the timing are the levers. Here is what our numbers and our desk show.

How to Book Four Seasons: Channels, Timing and Perks

Four Seasons is the brand our agents price more than any other: 60 price lookups across 37 different Four Seasons hotels since June 2026. It is also a brand with no points to earn, which changes how you should book it. With no loyalty currency in play, the two levers you control are the channel (what comes with the booking) and the timing (what the room costs). This guide covers both, on our own numbers.

The numbers: on 1 October 2026 we priced every Four Seasons we track (128 hotels) through our own booking engine (the one behind hotels.biirdee.com) on four test stays, 10–13 Nov 2026, 27–30 Dec 2026, 12–15 Mar 2027 and 15–18 Jul 2027, two adults, plus a two-night midweek stay (Tuesday to Thursday of the third week) in every month from November 2026 to October 2027. Rates are the lowest per night the engine charged at booking; taxes the hotel collects at checkout are extra. We also scored the 100 most recent verified guest reviews at each hotel ourselves. Live rates change daily, so read them as the rates on 1 October 2026. For what each hotel costs, see Four Seasons prices; for where to stay, the best Four Seasons hotels.

How to Book Four Seasons in Brief

  • There are no Four Seasons points, so the booking channel is the benefit: a Preferred Partner booking through an advisor such as Biirdee adds upgrade priority, early check-in and late check-out priority, VIP recognition, a property credit where the programme offers one, and daily breakfast where the rate does not already include it.
  • February is the month Four Seasons is most often cheapest: it was the cheapest month at 23 hotels, and the brand median for a midweek stay was lowest then ($785 a night). May was the dearest month at the median ($930).
  • The cheapest rate already included breakfast at only 12–18% of hotels on our four stays; where we could price the same room both ways, breakfast for two added a median $68–247 a night.
  • Free cancellation added a median 8–18% to the rate, depending on the dates.
  • Our desk books Four Seasons city stays late (typically within a week of arrival) and resort and holiday stays months ahead (about four to eight months).
  • Holidays sell deepest: for 27–30 Dec 2026, 30 of the 128 hotels had nothing bookable on our engine, against 10 to 16 on our other three stays.

The Ways to Book Four Seasons

What each channel is and what it adds. The last column is our advice.

What a Preferred Partner Booking Adds

Four Seasons describes Preferred Partner as "an exclusive, invitation-only network of high-end travel consultants from around the world". Because the brand has no points, a booking made direct and a booking made through one of those advisors differ in one way: what comes with it. Each hotel sets its own benefit listing, so the exact perks are confirmed with the hotel when we book. Booked through us as a Preferred Partner, a Four Seasons stay adds upgrade priority, early check-in and late check-out priority, VIP recognition, a property credit where the programme offers one, daily breakfast where the rate does not already include it, and our WhatsApp concierge before and during the stay. We do not claim the rate itself is lower; what changes is what the stay includes.

Breakfast is where the perk earns its keep on our numbers. The cheapest rate already included breakfast at only 12–18% of the Four Seasons we priced, and where we could price the same room with and without it, breakfast for two added a median of $68 to $247 a night across our four stays. At a few hotels the breakfast rate was a different, pricier package rather than the same room with breakfast, so price room-only first. Read how Four Seasons compares with Rosewood or with Aman for how other brands handle the same question.

Rate Types on Our Four Test Stays

Every Four Seasons we track (128 hotels), priced 1 October 2026. Breakfast and free-cancellation figures are medians across the hotels where we could price the same room both ways (the number of hotels is in brackets). "Only suites left" counts hotels where every standard room was gone.

Refundable, Non-Refundable and Suites

Free cancellation is cheap insurance at most Four Seasons: at the median it added 8% (New Year) to 18% (July) to the cheapest rate. It can cost much more at individual hotels: at Four Seasons Bora Bora it added 8–39% depending on the dates. Our rule of thumb: book refundable for anything more than a few months out or anything involving flights you have not yet booked, and take the non-refundable rate only when the dates are fixed.

Suites are less of a leap than you might expect. At the median, the cheapest suite cost 1.54x to 1.81x the cheapest room on our four stays. The bigger risk is not price but availability: on our dates, 12 to 20 hotels had only suites left, so a late booking can mean paying for a suite whether you want one or not.

How Thirteen Luxury Brands Compare on Our Numbers

Our own numbers: the 100 most recent verified reviews at every hotel with enough of them on our booking platform, the Forbes Travel Guide 2026 ratings, and the lowest rate per night on the same three stays (10–13 Nov 2026, 12–15 Mar 2027, 15–18 Jul 2027) at every hotel each brand had on sale. Ten brands were pulled on 1 October 2026; the three marked * (Capella, One&Only and Waldorf Astoria) on 3 October 2026. Aman and Cheval Blanc sell too few rooms online to score. "Not comparable" means the brand's breakfast and room-only rates were sold as different packages, so the gap is not what breakfast costs.

Against the other twelve brands we track, Four Seasons sits mid-table on guest scores (9.17, with 8.2% of guests under 7) and is the widest brand by far: 72 hotels scored and 42 Forbes Five-Star hotels. Its breakfast gap is also the widest range on the table, $68–247 a night for two at the median: what breakfast costs at a Four Seasons depends heavily on the hotel and the dates, and a partner booking that adds it takes the question off the table.

Timing: Read the Hotel, Not the Brand

Across the brand, timing moves the median surprisingly little: from $785 a night in February to $930 in May. February and December are the best bets in general, and May, June and September the dearest. But the brand median hides hotels whose prices swing hard. At Four Seasons Seoul our monthly checks ran from $651 in February to $2,950 in September; at Whistler from $301 in November to $2,579 in June; at Bora Bora from $1,698 in January to $4,617 in May. For any one hotel, the month matters far more than it does for the brand.

Holiday weeks are their own market. For 27–30 Dec 2026, 30 Four Seasons had nothing bookable on our engine, against 10 to 16 on our other stays, and the hotels that did sell often had little left: Jackson Hole had a single room type for New Year at $3,300 a night, against $819 for a midweek stay in the third week of December. Summer on the Riviera is the same story: for 15–18 Jul 2027 Grand-Hôtel du Cap-Ferrat had a single suite category left, at $8,897 a night.

What Our Desk Books

Our clients stay longer at Four Seasons than at any other brand we book: 4.1 nights on average. The most-booked hotel is Four Seasons Hotel George V (four bookings, 25 nights, all in July and August), followed by Seoul (four), Tokyo at Otemachi (three) and Beverly Wilshire (three), then Astir Palace Athens, Lanai, the Surf Club and Grand-Hôtel du Cap-Ferrat (two each). Further afield we have booked Bora Bora for nine nights over New Year, Jackson Hole for a two-week ski stay, Whistler for New Year and Sydney for ten nights.

Typical spend per night on those bookings, taxes in: about $4,700 at the George V (the median), about $2,400 at Otemachi, and about $1,200 at Seoul and at Beverly Wilshire. The pattern in the lead times is the useful part. City stays can be left later; resorts, ski weeks, Riviera summers and the holidays cannot, because those are the dates when hotels on our checks ran down to their suites or to nothing at all. For the George V specifically, see our George V guide.

How to Book Four Seasons: FAQs

Does Four Seasons have a loyalty program?

No. Four Seasons has no points programme, so there is nothing to earn or redeem whichever way you book. That makes the booking channel the main lever: a Preferred Partner booking through an advisor such as Biirdee adds upgrade priority, early check-in and late check-out priority, VIP recognition, a property credit where the programme offers one, and daily breakfast where the rate does not already include it.

What is Four Seasons Preferred Partner?

Four Seasons' own description is "an exclusive, invitation-only network of high-end travel consultants from around the world". Biirdee books Four Seasons as a Preferred Partner. Benefits are set hotel by hotel and confirmed with the property at booking; through us they include upgrade priority, early check-in and late check-out priority, VIP recognition, a property credit where the hotel offers one, daily breakfast where the rate does not already include it, and our WhatsApp concierge.

Is it cheaper to book Four Seasons direct or through an advisor?

We do not claim a lower rate either way. The difference is what comes with the booking: through a Preferred Partner advisor the stay carries the perks above, and on our numbers breakfast alone matters, since the cheapest rate included it at only 12–18% of Four Seasons and breakfast for two added a median $68–247 a night where we could price it.

When is Four Seasons cheapest?

February, on our checks: it was the cheapest month at 23 Four Seasons hotels, and the brand median for a midweek stay was lowest then ($785 a night). December ($794) was close behind; May ($930) and June ($911) were the dearest. Individual hotels vary a lot, so check the calendar for yours on Four Seasons prices.

How far ahead should I book a Four Seasons?

For a city stay, a week or two is often enough: our desk typically books Seoul and Beverly Wilshire within a week of arrival. For resorts, ski weeks, Riviera summers and the holidays, book months ahead: our desk booked Cap-Ferrat about 5 months out, Jackson Hole about 4, Whistler for New Year about 7 and a Tokyo cherry-blossom stay about 7 to 8.

Should I book a refundable Four Seasons rate?

Usually, yes. Free cancellation added a median 8–18% to the cheapest rate on our four test stays, which is cheap insurance for a trip booked months ahead. Take the non-refundable rate only when the dates are fixed and the gap is large.

Is breakfast included at Four Seasons?

Rarely in the cheapest rate: it was included at only 12–18% of the hotels we priced, including resorts such as Four Seasons Bora Bora and Kuda Huraa in the Maldives. Where we could price the same room both ways, breakfast for two added a median $68–247 a night.

What Biirdee Does

A concierge travel agency: paid by the hotel, never by you

Biirdee Travel books luxury hotels through preferred-partner programs: you pay the same rate as booking direct, the partner benefits attach to your reservation, and a human concierge handles the details end to end.

  1. Tell us the trip

Destination or property, rough dates, who’s traveling. The form takes two minutes and commits you to nothing.

  2. A concierge replies within hours

A real person checks availability, compares properties honestly, and confirms the perks your stay qualifies for: upgrades, breakfast, and credits where available.

  3. Book at the same rate as direct

The hotel pays our commission out of the rate you’d pay anyway, so the perks cost you nothing. Before and during the trip, one concierge on WhatsApp handles requests and changes.

Flying too? The same team books business and first class: flights and hotels aligned as one itinerary, one point of contact.
