Peninsula Hotels Prices: What Each Costs, Month by Month
Our own rate checks at all twelve Peninsulas: four test stays, a calendar for every month, and what breakfast, refunds, suites and taxes add.
By Biirdee Travel, Luxury Travel Concierge · Updated October 1, 2026

The Peninsula sells the same service culture at all twelve hotels and prices them nothing alike. On the same November dates, the lowest rate ran from $320 a night in Bangkok to $2,331 in New York; over New Year, from $261 in Manila to $2,655 in Tokyo. So we priced every hotel ourselves.
On 1 October 2026 we priced the same stays at all twelve Peninsulas through our own booking engine (the one behind hotels.biirdee.com): 10–13 Nov 2026, 27–30 Dec 2026, 12–15 Mar 2027 and 15–18 Jul 2027, plus a two-night midweek stay (Tuesday to Thursday of the third week) in every month to September 2027. We also scored the 100 most recent verified guest reviews at each hotel ourselves. Rates are the lowest per night the engine charged at booking; taxes the hotel collects at checkout are extra, and we show them separately below. Live rates change daily: these were the rates on 1 October 2026.
For the hotels themselves, start with our guide to all twelve Peninsulas; for getting breakfast and upgrades attached at the same rate, see PenClub, decoded.
Peninsula Prices in Brief
- The median lowest rate across the Peninsulas was $1,114 a night for 10–13 Nov 2026, $959 over New Year (27–30 Dec 2026), $734 for 12–15 Mar 2027 and $788 for 15–18 Jul 2027.
- Paris is the most expensive Peninsula on our numbers ($1,796–2,337 a night on our four stays); Manila ($236–292) and Bangkok ($296–574) are the cheapest.
- February is the cheapest month at six of the twelve hotels, and the brand-wide median fell to $602 a night that month, against $880 in May.
- Breakfast for two adds a median $67–123 a night, free cancellation a median 2–14%, and the cheapest suite costs a median 1.43 to 1.60 times the cheapest room.
- Taxes the hotel collects at checkout come on top: about $83–235 a night at the three American Peninsulas on most of our stays, and about $236–316 at London on three of our four.

Reading the Price Tables
Asia is where the Peninsula is cheap. Manila was the lowest-priced hotel on every stay where it had rooms ($236–292 a night), Bangkok ran $296–574, Beijing's all-suite rooms $385–618, and Shanghai and Hong Kong sat between $471 and $986. Tokyo is the exception at $747–2,655, and over New Year it was the most expensive Peninsula of all.
The West is where the money goes. Paris was the priciest Peninsula on our March and July stays and in every month of our calendar but December, London ran $1,251–1,772, and New York swung from $1,145 in March to $2,331 in November, the highest November rate in the brand. Beverly Hills held at $1,088–1,253 except on our March stay ($2,030), and Istanbul was the most stable hotel we priced, at $828–932 on all four stays. Chicago ($463–1,002) is the American value play.

Cheapest Months, Hotel by Hotel
February is the cheapest month at six Peninsulas: Tokyo ($791), Shanghai ($471, tied with January and July), Beijing ($380, tied with January and March), London ($1,042), Istanbul ($570) and New York ($1,226). Hong Kong is cheapest in January and March ($627), Beverly Hills in November and January ($1,077), Bangkok ($397) and Paris ($1,615) in November, Chicago in March ($485), and Manila at $261 in five months of the year.
The priciest months are less predictable: November in Tokyo ($1,579) and Hong Kong ($830), December in New York ($2,275) and Manila ($399), April in Shanghai ($601), May in London ($1,730), Istanbul ($932) and Bangkok ($443, tied with March), June in Paris ($2,654), July in Chicago ($995), and August in Beijing ($628) and Beverly Hills ($1,290). If your dates are flexible, the difference is real: in Tokyo and Chicago the priciest month cost about double the cheapest.
What Breakfast for Two Adds, Hotel by Hotel
What breakfast for two added per night on the same room with the same cancellation terms (the median across room types), on each test stay: Nov = 10–13 Nov 2026, Dec = 27–30 Dec 2026, Mar = 12–15 Mar 2027, Jul = 15–18 Jul 2027. n/a: no like-for-like pair of rates was on sale.

| The Peninsula Shanghai | $54 | $49 | $50 | $49 |
| The Peninsula Tokyo | $67 | $188 | $67 | Not comparable |
Hong Kong is the simplest: a flat $67 on every stay. Beijing, Manila and Shanghai add $34–54. London ($112–132) and Beverly Hills ($191–228 on three of four stays) are where breakfast costs real money. In Paris (March and July) and Tokyo (July) the only breakfast rates on the same rooms were priced far above anything breakfast could explain, so we mark them not comparable: price the room-only rate and add breakfast at the hotel. New York, Chicago and Istanbul sold almost no breakfast-inclusive rates through our engine.
What Free Cancellation Adds, Hotel by Hotel
The premium for a refundable rate over a non-refundable one on the same room and board (the median across room types), on each test stay. n/a: no room was on sale both ways.

Flexibility is cheap at the Peninsula more often than not. At Beverly Hills a refundable rate cost nothing extra on any stay, and in Paris it cost 0–2% except in July (19%). Istanbul charged a steady 18%, and Chicago (21–25%) and Hong Kong (21% in November) were the dearest places to keep your options open. In every n/a case above, the cheapest rate we found was refundable anyway.
What Suites Cost
The cheapest suite per night on each test stay (10–13 Nov 2026 / 27–30 Dec 2026 / 12–15 Mar 2027 / 15–18 Jul 2027), and the highest-priced room category we found across the four.

| The Peninsula Tokyo | $2,451 / $4,344 / $1,911 / $1,592 | $6,116 (Deluxe Suite, Dec) |
Suites start lower than you might expect: the median cheapest suite cost 1.43 to 1.60 times the cheapest room across our four stays. Hong Kong's Superior Suite ran $795–1,466 and Shanghai's Executive Suite $845–992. The ceilings are in Europe: Paris topped out at $10,542 a night for its Rooftop Suite in July, Istanbul at $9,641 and London at $9,304.
Taxes the Hotel Collects at Checkout

In the US, compare all-in. The three American Peninsulas collected US taxes at checkout on top of the engine rate on most of our stays: Chicago about $83–179 a night on every stay, New York about $163–235 and Beverly Hills about $167–192 on three of four. On a $1,665 night at The Peninsula New York over New Year, that was about $235 more; on a $1,253 night at Beverly Hills in November, about $192. London and Paris also left large sums to pay at the hotel on some stays (London about $236–316 on three, Paris about $239–257 on two), while the hotels in China, Hong Kong, Bangkok and Manila added about $55 a night or less.
How to Pay Less at the Peninsula
Time it. February is the cheapest month at half the portfolio, and the gaps are real: Tokyo in February ($791) cost about half its November rate, Chicago in March ($485) under half its July rate, and New York in February ($1,226) far less than in December ($2,275). In Bangkok, Beverly Hills and Shanghai the rate barely moves, so book those for the weather.
Stay flexible where flexibility is free. At Beverly Hills a refundable rate cost nothing extra on any of our stays, and in Paris it cost 0–2% outside July; where the premium is high (Chicago 21–25%, Istanbul 18%), a non-refundable rate makes sense only once your dates are fixed.
Get breakfast and perks attached rather than buying them. Booking through a PenClub-affiliated advisor costs the same as booking direct and adds daily breakfast for two, upgrade priority, a property credit and early check-in where available; at the hotels where breakfast for two adds $112–228 a night on most stays (London, Beverly Hills), that alone outweighs most discounts. See how PenClub works. And compare all-in: an engine rate that leaves hundreds of dollars a night of tax to pay at checkout is not the bargain it looks.

Peninsula Price FAQs
How much does a night at The Peninsula cost?
On 1 October 2026 the median lowest rate across the twelve hotels was $1,114 a night for 10–13 Nov 2026, $959 for 27–30 Dec 2026, $734 for 12–15 Mar 2027 and $788 for 15–18 Jul 2027. The middle half of hotels sat between $825 and $1,705 in November and between $404 and $1,224 in March. Taxes the hotel collects at checkout are extra.
What is the cheapest Peninsula hotel?
The Peninsula Manila: $261 a night for 27–30 Dec 2026, $292 for 12–15 Mar 2027 and $236 for 15–18 Jul 2027, the lowest of the twelve on every stay where it had rooms, and $261 in five months of our calendar. The Peninsula Bangkok is next ($296–574 on our stays), and it was the cheapest on our November dates ($320), when Manila had no rooms on sale.
What is the most expensive Peninsula hotel?
The Peninsula Paris: $1,796–2,337 a night on our four stays, the highest of the twelve on our March and July stays and in every month of our calendar except December, when New York ($2,275) was dearer. The single highest rate on any of our stays was Tokyo over New Year ($2,655), and the dearest room we found was the Paris Rooftop Suite at $10,542 a night.
When is the Peninsula cheapest?
February, at six of the twelve hotels, when the brand-wide median lowest rate fell to $602 a night against $880 in May. Hong Kong and Beverly Hills are cheapest in January, Bangkok and Paris in November, Chicago in March, and Manila almost any month but December.
Do Peninsula rates include breakfast?
Rarely the cheapest one: on our four stays, only 0–25% of the hotels' lowest rates included breakfast. Breakfast for two adds a median $67–123 a night on the same room, from $34–38 at Beijing and Manila to $191–228 at Beverly Hills on most stays, and booking with PenClub-grade benefits attaches it at no extra cost.
Do the US Peninsulas add taxes at checkout?
Yes, on most of our stays. The engine rate left US taxes for the hotel to collect at checkout: about $83–179 a night at Chicago on every stay, and about $163–235 at New York and $167–192 at Beverly Hills on three of four. A $1,665 night at The Peninsula New York over New Year, for example, carried about $235 more at checkout.
What Biirdee Does
A concierge travel agency: paid by the hotel, never by you
Biirdee Travel books luxury hotels through preferred-partner programs: you pay the same rate as booking direct, the partner benefits attach to your reservation, and a human concierge handles the details end to end.
Tell us the trip
Destination or property, rough dates, who’s traveling. The form takes two minutes and commits you to nothing.
A concierge replies within hours
A real person checks availability, compares properties honestly, and confirms the perks your stay qualifies for: upgrades, breakfast, and credits where available.
Book at the same rate as direct
The hotel pays our commission out of the rate you’d pay anyway, so the perks cost you nothing. Before and during the trip, one concierge on WhatsApp handles requests and changes.
