Every other option from the U.S. is a one-stop via Doha, Dubai, Abu Dhabi or Istanbul.
From Europe the picture is the same: Saudia flies nonstop from London Heathrow in about 6 hours and from Frankfurt, Munich, Amsterdam, Madrid, Barcelona, Rome, Milan, Geneva and Vienna in 4.5 to 6. Jeddah runs on the Islamic calendar as much as the weather. Ramadan brings the year’s heaviest Umrah traffic, especially its last ten nights, and Hajj fills Saudia’s cabins roughly ten weeks after Ramadan ends — in 2027 that means February into March and then mid-May. Book four to six months ahead for either window, and check entry rules, which tighten around Hajj for anyone without a pilgrimage visa. Eid al-Fitr and Eid al-Adha add outbound Saudi holiday surges on top.
Outside those dates the soft months are late September through November, once the summer heat starts to ease, and January before Ramadan begins. Winter is the pleasant season on the Corniche, with the Red Sea International Film Festival in December and, in the years Jeddah hosts it, a springtime Formula 1 weekend lifting hotel and fare demand for a few days. Summer highs sit around 40°C and corporate travel thins out, so June through August can price well between the pilgrimage peaks, though Umrah and school-holiday traffic keep the cabins fuller than the weather suggests. For any ordinary week, two to three months out is enough.

Yes for Umrah — Jeddah is a main air gateway and Saudia’s long-haul cabins carry pilgrims from North America and Europe throughout the season. Hajj is different: places are quota-controlled and in most countries must be booked through a licensed Hajj operator, which usually fixes the airline and the dates, so come to us early and we will work within whatever your operator allows. Umrah outside Ramadan is far easier to source at a good fare, and entry rules tighten around Hajj for anyone without the right visa.
