Under five hours from London, a shade over two from Istanbul — the Caucasus is closer than the fare pages make it look.
Business class flights to Tbilisi land at Shota Rustaveli Tbilisi International (TBS), about 17 kilometres southeast of the city and 20 to 30 minutes by car from the Old Town and the sulphur baths at Abanotubani. Europe reaches Georgia nonstop: British Airways from London Heathrow in about 4h50, Air France from Paris-CDG in about 4h35, Condor from Frankfurt in about 4h05 and Lufthansa from Munich in about 3h45. The Georgian carrier Georgian Airways flies the Paris pair alongside Air France.
The short way in is from the east. Turkish Airlines is about 2h10 from Istanbul, Qatar Airways about 2h50 from Doha with Georgian Airways on the same pair, and flydubai about 3h from Dubai. Air Arabia serves Tbilisi from Abu Dhabi as well, but sells economy only. From New York, Los Angeles, Singapore or Sydney there is no nonstop at all — the trip is one-stop, most often via Istanbul, Doha, Dubai, London, Munich or Paris.
Be clear-eyed about the aircraft. The nonstops into Tbilisi are almost always flown by single-aisle jets, so business class on the final leg means a wider seat — a two-by-two forward cabin on the Gulf and Turkish carriers, a blocked-middle European seat on the rest — plus lounge access, fast-track and priority bags, a good regional cabin rather than a bed. The lie-flat seat belongs to the long leg into the hub, and that is where we concentrate the fare work. The ranges on this page are published fares as of September 2026; the fares we source sit under them.

Nonstop from Istanbul in about 2h10, and the densest single-connection feed into Georgia from North America, Asia and Africa. The Tbilisi leg is a regional business cabin rather than a long-haul one, but the catering runs well above the European norm and IST departures are frequent enough to rebook the same day when something slips.
Nonstop from Doha in about 2h50. Qsuite lives on the long-haul leg into Doha, not usually on this one — expect a single-aisle forward cabin into Tbilisi — and that trade is usually worth making: this is often the sharpest business fare into TBS from Asia, Australia and the U.S. East Coast.
The Heathrow nonstop, about 4h50 in Club Europe. That is a long stretch in a short-haul seat — the middle is blocked and the ground service is good, but no one should expect a bed. Still the cleanest way in from London and the natural connection off a BA long-haul.
Nonstop from Munich in about 3h45, and a clean single connection from North America onto a European business cabin. Munich is an easy hub to transit and the Tbilisi leg is a standard European business seat; the value is in the long-haul segment you buy with it.
Nonstop from Paris-CDG in about 4h35, with the SkyTeam feed from North America, Africa and Asia connecting at CDG. Four and a half hours is at the outer edge of what a European narrow-body business cabin is designed for, so pick the seat map carefully.
Nonstop from Dubai in about 3h in a two-by-two forward cabin; the seat varies by aircraft, so check what is scheduled on your date. Emirates codeshares the route, so a long-haul into DXB usually tickets through to Tbilisi — confirm the Tbilisi flight leaves from Terminal 3 rather than Terminal 2, which turns the connection into a landside transfer. The business cabin is small, often only a couple of rows, so it sells out ahead of the fare moving.
Georgia’s home carrier and the home-town option, nonstop from Paris in about 4h35 and Doha in about 2h50. The forward cabin is a regional business seat rather than a bed and varies by aircraft, and the fleet is small, so frequencies are thinner than the alliance carriers on the same pairs — useful precisely when they are full.
Nonstop from Frankfurt in about 4h05, with the leisure carriers’ habit of thinning or dropping the route outside the busy months — check your dates are actually in the schedule. Condor prices like the leisure operator it is, which can make it the cheapest premium seat into Tbilisi out of Germany, but the single-aisle cabin on this run is a step below the long-haul Business Class the brand advertises. Read what the fare actually includes before you buy.
Typical published round-trip business class ranges. Biirdee's sourced fares come in below these — request a quote for live pricing on your dates.
| Route | Typical published fare | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| From the U.S. East Coast | $3,400–$6,500 round trip | One stop via Istanbul, Doha, London, Munich or Paris; lie-flat across the Atlantic or the Gulf, then a regional business seat into TBS. Published fares as of September 2026 — our sourced fares land under this. |
| From the U.S. West Coast | $4,200–$8,000 round trip | The same hubs, and a full day of travel each way. Istanbul and Doha usually price best; Munich and Paris are the shortest connections. |
| From London | £900–£2,300 round trip | British Airways Club Europe on the Heathrow nonstop, about 4h50. Turkish via Istanbul and Qatar Airways via Doha often undercut it at the cost of a connection. |
| From Paris, Frankfurt or Munich | €850–€2,200 round trip | Air France, Condor and Lufthansa nonstop, plus Georgian Airways on the Paris pair — all single-aisle business cabins of under five hours. |
| From Istanbul, Doha or Dubai | $800–$2,400 round trip | Two to three hours in the air on Turkish Airlines from Istanbul, Qatar Airways and Georgian Airways from Doha, and flydubai from Dubai — priced as regional flying rather than long-haul, which is why a Gulf or Istanbul connection so often beats a nonstop from further west. |
| Peak (July–August and New Year) | Top of every range above | Gulf visitors escaping the summer heat and the New Year holidays fill small forward cabins long before economy tightens; the rtveli wine harvest in Kakheti is a second firm stretch just below those peaks. |
Scheduled nonstops from the busiest gateways, from published airline schedules as of 3 September 2026. Flight times are gate-to-gate estimates. Carriers marked economy-only sell no business class cabin on the route.

Tbilisi has two high seasons and they look nothing alike. July and August are hot in the city — comfortably into the thirties — but they are peak for the mountains at Kazbegi and Svaneti and for Gulf travellers escaping worse heat at home, so the Dubai, Doha and Istanbul cabins go first. September and October are the best weeks of the year: the rtveli grape harvest in Kakheti, the Tbilisoba city festival in October, warm days and cool nights. Fares in that window sit high without quite reaching the summer peak.
Winter splits the same way. Late December into early January carries New Year and Orthodox Christmas on 7 January, and the Gudauri ski season keeps weekend departures busy into March. Midweek from late January to mid-March, and most of November, are the soft months — the bottom of the ranges above, and the best hunting ground we have.
Book three to four months ahead for summer, for the harvest weeks and for anything touching New Year; six to ten weeks is usually enough in the soft months. The binding constraint into Tbilisi is cabin size rather than price — the nonstops are single-aisle jets with a small forward cabin, so a discounted fare can be filed and still have nothing left to sell. Send us the dates and the gateway and we will come back with a quote inside the hour, on WhatsApp if that is easier.

As of September 2026, published round trips run roughly $3,400–$6,500 from the U.S. East Coast, $4,200–$8,000 from the West Coast, £900–£2,300 from London, €850–€2,200 from Paris, Frankfurt or Munich, and $800–$2,400 from Istanbul, Doha or Dubai. Biirdee’s negotiated and unpublished fares typically price below those ranges.
British Airways from London Heathrow, Lufthansa from Munich, Air France from Paris-CDG, Condor from Frankfurt, Turkish Airlines from Istanbul, Qatar Airways from Doha, flydubai from Dubai, and Georgian Airways from Paris and Doha. Air Arabia flies in from Abu Dhabi as well, but sells economy only. Other European and regional carriers serve Tbilisi from their own hubs; from North America, Asia and Australia there is no nonstop and the trip is one-stop.
Yes — British Airways flies Heathrow to Tbilisi nonstop, about 4h50, in Club Europe: a wider seat with the middle blocked, lounge access and fast-track rather than a lie-flat bed. Turkish Airlines via Istanbul and Qatar Airways via Doha are the one-stop alternatives, and they often price lower.
No. There is no scheduled nonstop between North America and Tbilisi as of September 2026, so plan on one stop. From New York the cleanest routings connect at Istanbul on Turkish Airlines, Doha on Qatar Airways or Heathrow on British Airways; from Los Angeles the same hubs, plus Munich on Lufthansa or Paris on Air France. The lie-flat seat is on the long leg — the run into TBS is a regional business cabin of two to five hours.
Nonstop it is about 2h10 from Istanbul, 2h50 from Doha, 3h from Dubai, 3h45 from Munich, 4h05 from Frankfurt, 4h35 from Paris and 4h50 from London Heathrow. With one stop, expect the better part of a day from New York and longer again from Los Angeles, depending on how the connection banks fall.
Not as a rule. Tbilisi is served overwhelmingly by single-aisle aircraft, so the business cabin on the final leg is normally a wider seat — two-by-two on the Gulf and Turkish carriers, blocked-middle on the European ones — with lounge access, fast-track and priority baggage rather than a bed. A wide-body occasionally turns up on the Istanbul or Doha runs, but do not plan around it. The bed sits on the long-haul leg into Istanbul, Doha, Dubai, London, Paris, Frankfurt or Munich, and that is the segment worth spending on.
Travel in the soft months — midweek from late January to mid-March, or in November — and connect through Istanbul or Doha, where the final leg into Tbilisi is priced as regional flying rather than long-haul. Beyond that the saving is in the fare type, not the routing: we book negotiated and unpublished business class fares that never surface on the public sites, routinely well under retail.
