Business Class Flights to Sapporo

Fares, airlines & the best time to book — CTS

Lie-flat to Tokyo, a 65-minute hop to New Chitose, and the deepest powder on earth.

New Chitose (CTS) is the gateway to Hokkaido, and as of August 2026 it has no nonstop service from the U.S. or Europe. The standard premium routing is a lie-flat trans-Pacific leg into Tokyo — Haneda or Narita — followed by a 65-minute domestic hop on JAL or ANA. Biirdee books this pattern constantly: U.S.–Tokyo business class with the New Chitose connection ticketed through on a single itinerary, so bags and the connection are protected end to end.

From Asia, or connecting through it, there are one-stop alternatives. Cathay Pacific links Hong Kong to New Chitose, EVA Air flies from Taipei with some seasonal variation, and Singapore Airlines has served Sapporo directly in peak periods. Korean Air adds a quick Seoul option.

The demand story is Niseko. From December through March the resort draws skiers to some of the most consistent powder snow anywhere, and the luxury pipeline keeps deepening — Aman Niseko is slated to open in 2027. Summer is the quieter second act: lavender fields in Furano and alpine hiking from June through August.

Best Time to Book Business Class to Sapporo

Niseko drives the calendar. Ski trips from December through March — especially Christmas, New Year and the February powder peak — book out early, and premium cabins to Tokyo for those dates are best secured by early autumn. The Sapporo Snow Festival in early February adds another spike.

Summer, June through August, is a gentler peak for the Furano lavender season and hiking. The value windows are April–May after the melt and October–November before the snow, when both the trans-Pacific leg and Hokkaido hotels soften.
