Business Class Flights to Taipei

Fares, airlines & the best time to book, TPE

Lie-flat to Taoyuan nonstop from Los Angeles, New York, London, Paris or Amsterdam.

Business class flights to Taipei land at Taiwan Taoyuan International (TPE), about 40 km west of the city and the home base of EVA Air and China Airlines. The two Taiwanese carriers fly most of the long-haul network themselves: EVA is nonstop from Los Angeles (about 13h50), San Francisco (about 13h10), Chicago (about 15h05), Dallas (about 15h35), New York JFK (about 15h50) and Toronto (about 15h15), and China Airlines from Los Angeles, San Francisco and JFK. Starlux, Taiwan’s boutique third carrier, adds its own A350 nonstops from LAX and SFO, and United flies Polaris from San Francisco, the only US carrier we see on a Taipei nonstop.

Europe is better served than most travellers expect. Heathrow has two nonstops, China Airlines and EVA Air, at about 12h25, and there are single-carrier nonstops from Paris (EVA Air, about 12h25), Frankfurt (China Airlines, about 12h), Munich (EVA Air, about 11h50) and Rome (China Airlines, about 12h15). Amsterdam is the deepest European market with three operators: China Airlines, EVA Air and KLM, about 12h. From a European city without a nonstop, the trip is one stop through one of those hubs, through Istanbul on Turkish Airlines, or over the Gulf on Emirates.

Inside Asia the hops are short and frequent: Hong Kong about 1h30, Shanghai about 1h20, Seoul about 2h20, Tokyo Narita about 3h10, Bangkok about 3h30 and Singapore about 4h25. Further out, China Airlines flies Sydney nonstop in about 9h20. Low-cost carriers crowd the same regional routes in economy only, so a lie-flat or angled business seat on the short sectors means one of the full-service airlines below. Cabins stay busy year-round because the semiconductor corridor books them; Biirdee sources negotiated and unpublished fares that come in below the retail ranges here.

Airlines Flying Business Class to Taipei

EVA Air

The widest nonstop network to TPE: Los Angeles, San Francisco, Chicago, Dallas, New York JFK, Toronto, London, Paris, Munich and Amsterdam, plus most of Asia. Royal Laurel is lie-flat with direct aisle access on the 777s and 787s that fly the long routes; the regional jets on short Asian sectors are a plainer cabin.

China Airlines

The other Taiwanese flag carrier, nonstop from Los Angeles, San Francisco, JFK, London, Frankfurt, Amsterdam, Rome and Sydney, and the only carrier flying Sydney to Taipei nonstop. Lie-flat 1-2-1 on the A350s and 777-300ERs that fly the long routes, with newer 787s appearing across parts of the network; check the seat map for your date, and price it against EVA on the same date rather than assuming either is cheaper.

Starlux Airlines

Taipei’s boutique third carrier, nonstop from Los Angeles and San Francisco and around the region from Hong Kong, Tokyo, Singapore and Bangkok. Polished A350 lie-flat cabin with a small first class ahead of it; the trade-off is a narrower network than EVA, so a missed date usually means moving carriers rather than moving flights.

United Airlines

The one US airline on the route as far as we see it, with Polaris lie-flat from San Francisco in about 13h10. Useful if you are connecting from a United domestic hub on one ticket, though EVA Air sits in the same alliance, so MileagePlus status and credit travel just as well on its far wider nonstop schedule.

KLM

Nonstop from Amsterdam in about 12h, with lie-flat World Business Class on the widebody it flies. The useful option from Brussels, the Nordics or any European city without its own Taipei nonstop, where the Amsterdam connection is short and one ticket covers both legs.

Cathay Pacific

Nonstop from Hong Kong in about 1h30 and from Tokyo Narita in about 3h10, and the classic one-stop into Taipei from Europe and the Americas via Hong Kong. On a hop this short the connection and the Hong Kong lounge matter more than the seat.

Singapore Airlines

Nonstop from Singapore in about 4h25 and a strong one-stop from Europe, Australia and the US via Changi. The Taipei sector is usually a widebody, but confirm the aircraft; the cabin on a regional-configured jet is not the long-haul product.

Emirates

Nonstop from Dubai in about 8h30, which makes Taipei a single connection from most of Europe, the Middle East and Africa. Business class varies by aircraft; some of the 777 fleet still flies the older 2-3-2 layout, so check the seat map before you commit.

RouteTypical published fareNotes
From the US West Coast$4,500–$9,000 round tripEVA Air, China Airlines, Starlux and United nonstops from LAX and SFO; the bottom of that band is a good day (as of September 2026).
From the US East Coast, Midwest and Canada$5,500–$11,000 round tripNonstop from JFK on EVA Air and China Airlines, and from Chicago, Dallas and Toronto on EVA Air.
From London£3,500–£6,500 round tripTwo Heathrow nonstops, China Airlines and EVA Air; Gulf and Istanbul one-stops usually undercut them.
From continental Europe€3,500–€7,000 round tripNonstop from Paris, Frankfurt, Amsterdam, Munich and Rome; other cities connect once and price lower.
From Asian hubs$500–$2,500 round tripHong Kong, Shanghai, Seoul, Tokyo, Bangkok and Singapore: the short northern hops sit at the bottom of the band and Singapore at the top, and on sectors this short the cabin is often regional rather than lie-flat.

Best Time to Book Business Class to Taipei

Taipei runs on two demand curves at once. Business travel to the semiconductor corridor (Hsinchu, Taichung and Tainan) barely notices the calendar and keeps the front cabins busy in most weeks of the year. Leisure and diaspora traffic then piles on top of it around Lunar New Year, which falls in early February in 2027, and again through July and August, when Taiwanese school holidays and the North American summer overlap; Computex fills the city and its front cabins in late May and early June. For those windows, book four to six months out; the European nonstops are thin (a small number of departures a day at each of Heathrow, Paris and Munich), so a sold-out flight can push you onto a one-stop.

Weather argues for autumn. October and November are the most comfortable months in Taipei, the summer heat and humidity have gone, though the northeast monsoon starts bringing drizzle to the north from late October. Late spring brings the plum rains in May and June, and typhoon season runs roughly June through October, when a Pacific storm can shut Taoyuan for a day, so build a buffer if you are connecting onward. Winters in the north are cool and damp but rarely cold, and the city is at its quietest.

The soft months are late April into early May and the stretch from mid-November to mid-December, outside the Golden Horse festival week in November. On those dates two to three months of lead time is enough, and midweek departures on the transpacific nonstops price noticeably below Friday and Sunday. Tell us your date range rather than a single flight and we will work the unpublished channels around it.

Business Class to Taipei: FAQs

How much are business class flights to Taipei?

As of September 2026, retail round trips run roughly $4,500–$9,000 from the US West Coast, $5,500–$11,000 from the East Coast and Midwest, £3,500–£6,500 from London and €3,500–€7,000 from continental Europe. Biirdee books negotiated and unpublished fares below those numbers.

Which airlines fly business class to Taipei nonstop?

EVA Air and China Airlines carry most of it, joined by Starlux and United from the US West Coast, KLM from Amsterdam, Emirates from Dubai, Turkish Airlines from Istanbul, Singapore Airlines from Singapore, Cathay Pacific from Hong Kong and Tokyo, and Japan Airlines, Korean Air and Thai Airways around Asia.

Are there business class flights from Paris to Taipei?

Yes. EVA Air flies Paris Charles de Gaulle to Taoyuan nonstop in about 12h25 with its Royal Laurel lie-flat cabin. The alternatives are one stop through Amsterdam on KLM, through Istanbul on Turkish Airlines, or over the Gulf on Emirates.

Is there a direct business class flight from London to Taipei?

Two of them. China Airlines and EVA Air both fly Heathrow to Taoyuan nonstop in about 12h25, each with a lie-flat business cabin. There is no British Airways nonstop, so the other Heathrow options connect via Hong Kong, Dubai or Istanbul.

How long is the flight to Taipei?

About 13h10 from San Francisco, 13h50 from Los Angeles, 15h50 from New York JFK, 15h05 from Chicago and 15h15 from Toronto. From Europe it is about 12h from Amsterdam or Frankfurt and about 12h25 from London. Within Asia, Hong Kong is about 1h30 and Tokyo about 3h10.

What is the cheapest way to fly business class to Taipei?

Fly midweek in the soft months (late April to early May, or mid-November to mid-December), and compare the nonstop against a one-stop through Hong Kong, Tokyo, Seoul or Dubai, which often prices under the nonstop. On the West Coast it is worth pricing all four carriers on the same date; they rarely land in the same place.

Is EVA Air or China Airlines better in business class?

Both are strong and both are lie-flat with direct aisle access on the long-haul jets. EVA’s Royal Laurel has the bigger reputation and the wider network, including Chicago, Dallas and Toronto; China Airlines has the newer A350 cabin and the only Sydney nonstop. Choose on schedule and price; they rarely price the same on a given date.
