Business Class Flights to Jakarta

Fares, airlines & the best time to book — CGK

One stop from London or New York — and ninety-five minutes from Changi.

Business class flights to Jakarta land at Soekarno-Hatta International (CGK), about 20 kilometres north-west of the centre in Tangerang, roughly 45 to 55 minutes to BNI City in the central business district on the airport rail link and anything up to two hours by road once the evening traffic sets in. Within Asia the nonstop map is dense and the legs are short: Singapore Airlines and Garuda Indonesia from Changi in about 1h35m, Garuda and Thai Airways from Bangkok in about 3h20m, Cathay Pacific and Garuda from Hong Kong in about 4h30m, China Eastern and Garuda from Shanghai in about 6 hours, Air China from Beijing in just under 7 hours, and Korean Air, Asiana and Garuda from Seoul in about the same.

From Europe the nonstop board is short. KLM and Garuda Indonesia both fly Amsterdam to Jakarta in about 14 hours, and Turkish Airlines adds Istanbul in about 12 hours. Further south, EgyptAir flies Cairo in about 11 hours 30. London, Paris, Frankfurt and every city in the United States connect once, which makes the hub the real decision — Qatar Airways from Doha in about 9 hours, Emirates from Dubai and Etihad from Abu Dhabi in about 8 hours 30 each, or an Asian hub where the last leg into Jakarta is short enough to feel like a formality.

Japan and Australia are covered properly. All Nippon Airways and Japan Airlines fly Tokyo Narita in about 7 hours 30, All Nippon and Garuda fly Haneda in about the same, and Qantas and Garuda serve both Sydney and Melbourne in around 7 hours. Saudia flies Riyadh seasonally in about 9 hours 30, and Juneyao Air joins the Shanghai run from late October 2026. The fare ranges further down this page are honest published numbers; our job is to source underneath them.

Airlines Flying Business Class to Jakarta

Garuda Indonesia

The flag carrier, and the airline that reaches Jakarta nonstop from more of our gateway map than any other: Amsterdam (about 14 hours), Tokyo Haneda, Seoul, Shanghai, Hong Kong, Bangkok, Singapore, Sydney and Melbourne. Lie-flat business on the 777-300ERs and A330s; the narrowbodies used on the shortest regional hops are recliners, so check the aircraft before you pay a widebody price.

Singapore Airlines

Changi to Jakarta in about 1h35m, several times a day, which makes it the cleanest single connection from London, the U.S. West Coast and anywhere else SQ already flies. On a 95-minute hop the regional cabin matters far less than the connection — spend the difference on Changi lounge time.

Qatar Airways

Doha to Jakarta in about 9 hours, usually the strongest one-stop from London, the U.S. East Coast and continental Europe. Qsuite is on much of the widebody fleet but is not guaranteed on this rotation, so confirm the aircraft before you commit.

Emirates

Dubai to Jakarta in about 8 hours 30, with a deep feed from Europe, the Middle East and Africa behind it. Business varies by aircraft on this run — some 777 layouts are 2-3-2 without direct aisle access — so read the seat map rather than assuming the A380 product.

KLM

Amsterdam to Jakarta in about 14 hours, a little longer coming home — the shortest way out of western Europe, shared with Garuda Indonesia, and a short feeder hop from London, Manchester or Edinburgh. World Business Class is lie-flat with direct aisle access on the 787s and 777s. Frequency is thin compared with the Gulf hubs, so discounted business inventory on the Amsterdam nonstop tends to go early.

Cathay Pacific

Hong Kong to Jakarta in about 4h30m on a schedule built around onward connections to North America and Europe. Reverse-herringbone lie-flat on the A330s and A350s that normally work this route; on a four-and-a-half-hour daytime leg it is one of the more comfortable ways into Jakarta.

Turkish Airlines

Istanbul to Jakarta in about 12 hours, and the one-stop that keeps European and U.S. East Coast pricing honest whenever the Gulf carriers firm up. The 787-9s and A350s carry a 1-2-1 business cabin; older 777 layouts are 2-3-2 and are the ones to avoid.

All Nippon Airways

Tokyo to Jakarta from both airports — Haneda and Narita, each about 7 hours 30 — with staggered lie-flat business on the 787s. Japan Airlines matches the Narita run, and both connect cleanly from the U.S. West Coast; Haneda transfers are the shorter of the two when the schedule allows.

From the U.S. East Coast$5,200–$10,500 round tripDoha, Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Istanbul, Amsterdam and Singapore all work as a single connection; the Gulf carriers normally price sharpest.

From Asian hubs (SIN, HKG, BKK, NRT)$500–$3,500 round tripThe short hops price like regional flying — Singapore and Bangkok are the cheapest business class seats into Jakarta and sit at the bottom of that range; Hong Kong and Tokyo sit near the top. Published fares as of September 2026.

Best Time to Book Business Class to Jakarta

Jakarta sits a few degrees south of the equator, so the year splits into wet and dry rather than hot and cold. The wet season runs roughly November to April and peaks in January and February, when heavy rain can flood parts of the city and slow the toll roads out to Soekarno-Hatta. The dry season, May through September, is the dependable stretch and the one most business travel is planned around. Temperature barely moves all year — high twenties to low thirties Celsius, humid throughout.

Demand here is corporate first and holiday second. Weekday flights carry the region’s business traffic and price accordingly, while weekend departures usually price softer, particularly on the regional hops. Three windows lift fares: the closing week of Ramadan and the Idul Fitri holiday that follows it, which falls in early-to-mid March in 2027 and moves about eleven days earlier each year after that; the Indonesian school break from mid-June through mid-July; and the Christmas–New Year fortnight, when Jakarta’s expatriate community travels and outbound Indonesian holiday traffic competes for the same cabins.

Book four to five months ahead for July, August, the year-end weeks and anything touching Idul Fitri; six to ten weeks is usually enough the rest of the year. The soft months are February through April — wet, quiet and cheap once the holidays clear — and late September into November. The Amsterdam nonstop runs far less often than the Gulf hub departures and its discounted business seats go first, so tell us early if that routing matters to you. Otherwise the Gulf and Asian hubs give us four or five ways to build the same trip, and that flexibility is where most of the saving comes from.

Business Class to Jakarta: FAQs

How much are business class flights to Jakarta?

As of September 2026, published round trips run roughly $4,800–$9,000 from the U.S. West Coast, $5,200–$10,500 from the East Coast, £3,200–£6,000 from London, $3,000–$5,500 from the Gulf hubs and $500–$3,500 from Asian hubs — the low end being the short hops from Singapore and Bangkok, the high end Hong Kong and Tokyo. Biirdee’s negotiated and unpublished fares typically price below those ranges.

Which airlines fly business class to Jakarta nonstop?

From Europe: KLM and Garuda Indonesia from Amsterdam, Turkish Airlines from Istanbul. From the Middle East and Africa: Emirates from Dubai, Qatar Airways from Doha, Etihad from Abu Dhabi, Saudia seasonally from Riyadh and EgyptAir from Cairo. From Asia: Singapore Airlines and Garuda from Singapore, Cathay Pacific and Garuda from Hong Kong, Thai Airways and Garuda from Bangkok, All Nippon Airways and Japan Airlines from Tokyo, Korean Air (with Asiana, now part of the same group) and Garuda from Seoul, China Eastern and Garuda from Shanghai — with Juneyao Air due to join the Shanghai route from late October 2026, cabin subject to the aircraft it assigns — and Air China from Beijing. From Australia: Qantas and Garuda from Sydney and Melbourne. Low-cost carriers including Scoot, Citilink and T’way also serve Jakarta, but in economy only.

Are there direct business class flights from London or New York to Jakarta?

Not at the moment — there is no nonstop from London or from any U.S. city to Jakarta, so every itinerary connects once. From London, KLM through Amsterdam keeps the transfer in Europe for roughly the same total flying time as the Gulf routings, while Qatar via Doha, Emirates via Dubai, Etihad via Abu Dhabi and Turkish via Istanbul are usually cheaper. From New York the Gulf hubs, Istanbul, Amsterdam and Singapore all connect once; from Los Angeles or San Francisco, Singapore, Hong Kong, Tokyo and Seoul are the natural transfers.

How long is the flight to Jakarta?

Nonstop from Amsterdam it is about 14 hours, a little longer coming home. Istanbul is about 12 hours, Cairo about 11 hours 30, Riyadh about 9 hours 30, Doha about 9 hours, Dubai and Abu Dhabi about 8 hours 30, Tokyo about 7 hours 30, and Sydney, Melbourne, Seoul and Beijing all sit around 7 hours. Shanghai is about 6 hours, Hong Kong about 4h30m, Bangkok about 3h20m and Singapore about 1h35m. With one stop, allow 18 to 22 hours in transit from London or New York and 21 to 24 from the U.S. West Coast, before the run into the city.

What is the cheapest way to fly business class to Jakarta?

Travel in the shoulder months — February to April, or late September to November — shift the departure to a weekend where you can, and let us price the Gulf and Asian hubs against each other instead of fixing on one carrier. Building the trip so the final leg into Jakarta is regional flying, from Singapore, Bangkok or Hong Kong, often beats a single through-fare. Past that, the saving is in the fare type rather than the routing: we book negotiated and unpublished business class fares that are not on the public booking sites.

Which airline has the best business class to Jakarta?

For the seat, Qatar Airways through Doha and Cathay Pacific through Hong Kong on their widebodies. For the shortest way out of Europe, KLM’s Amsterdam nonstop at about 14 hours. For a connection that rarely goes wrong, Singapore Airlines, whose Changi hop is about 95 minutes and runs several times a day. Garuda Indonesia is often the practical pick from Amsterdam, Tokyo, Sydney and the Asian hubs, with lie-flat business on its widebody fleet.

How do I get from Soekarno-Hatta Airport into central Jakarta?

Soekarno-Hatta (CGK) is about 20 kilometres north-west of the centre, in Tangerang. The airport rail link reaches BNI City — a short walk from Sudirman — and Manggarai in roughly 45 to 55 minutes, and ignores the traffic entirely; by car, allow 45 minutes early in the morning and up to two hours in the evening peak. The terminals are linked by a free Skytrain. Most long-haul international flights use Terminal 3, though CGK has reshuffled terminal assignments more than once — check which terminal your carrier is using before you plan the transfer.
