Karachi’s year is built around heat and the sea. November to February is the pleasant stretch — daytime highs easing from around 30°C in November to the mid-20s in January, cool evenings by the water, and the season that carries the Karachi Eat food festival in January and the literature festival in February. March warms fast, May and June are punishing — highs in the mid-30s with coastal humidity that makes it feel hotter — and the monsoon reaches the coast in July and August: the rain totals are modest by South Asian standards, but the city floods readily and most of the year’s disruption clusters in those two months.
Demand does not follow the weather.
