Business class flights to Bangkok land at Suvarnabhumi (BKK), about 25 kilometres east of the centre and roughly half an hour to Phaya Thai on the Airport Rail Link, plus a BTS or MRT hop for Sukhumvit; Don Mueang (DMK) takes most of the low-cost traffic. From North America the one nonstop in current schedules is United’s Los Angeles service, about 16h45m in Polaris. Everywhere else in the United States connects, usually once from a coastal hub (over Tokyo, Seoul, Hong Kong, Taipei, Doha or Dubai), and those one-stops are frequently cheaper than the nonstop and, from the East Coast, no slower.
From Europe, Bangkok is one of the best-served long-haul destinations anywhere, which is precisely why it is cheap. Thai Airways flies nonstop from London Heathrow (about 12h10m), Paris, Frankfurt, Munich, Zurich, Amsterdam and Copenhagen; EVA Air also serves Heathrow and Amsterdam nonstop; British Airways runs Gatwick to Bangkok in about 12h10m. The European flags fill in the rest: Air France from Paris in about 12h, KLM from Amsterdam in about 11h45m, and Lufthansa from Munich, Swiss from Zurich, Condor from Frankfurt and ITA Airways from Rome in about 11h30m, with Scandinavian Airlines adding Copenhagen seasonally, Iberojet flying Madrid in about 12h55m on a leisure configuration worth checking before you book, and Aircalin touching Bangkok on its Paris–Nouméa run, where the sector is not always sold on its own.
Within Asia the flying is short and the lie-flat seats are genuinely cheap: Singapore Airlines is about 2h15m from Changi, Cathay Pacific about 2h35m from Hong Kong, China Eastern about 4h from Shanghai, Air China about 4h30m from Beijing, Korean Air and Asiana, now merging under the Korean Air brand, about 5h from Seoul, Japan Airlines and All Nippon about 6h10m from Tokyo. The Gulf hubs sit six to seven hours out (Emirates about 6h30m from Dubai, Qatar Airways about 6h55m from Doha), while Turkish Airlines is about 9h40m from Istanbul and Qantas about 9h40m from Sydney. The home carrier, and the reason Bangkok holds one of the widest European nonstop networks in Southeast Asia: London Heathrow, Paris, Frankfurt, Munich, Zurich, Amsterdam and Copenhagen, plus Sydney, Tokyo Haneda and Narita, Seoul, Hong Kong, Singapore, Beijing, Shanghai and Istanbul. Royal Silk is lie-flat on the 787s and A350s, but the seat varies by aircraft; confirm the type before you commit to a twelve-hour night flight.
Nonstop into Bangkok from London Heathrow (about 12h10m) and Amsterdam (about 11h45m). Royal Laurel is a 1-2-1 reverse-herringbone cabin that reliably outclasses what it sells for. From North America EVA is a one-stop over Taipei, which is usually the better seat for West Coast travellers even though it adds a stop.

Gatwick to Bangkok in about 12h10m in a lie-flat Club World cabin; Club Suite appears only on the retrofitted widebodies, and Gatwick’s are among the last in the fleet to get it; check the seat map for your date. Note the airport: BA’s connecting bank is at Heathrow, so arriving from a UK regional airport or the US means a separate ticket and a cross-London transfer; build the time in. Norse Atlantic also flies Gatwick to Bangkok seasonally, but its premium cabin is a recliner, not a lie-flat business seat.
Doha to Bangkok in about 6h55m with Qsuite on most widebody rotations, and usually the strongest one-stop into Bangkok from London, the US East Coast and most of Europe. Doha connections often fall in the small hours and can be tight: build in the extra hour and use the lounge.
Dubai to Bangkok in about 6h30m on multiple daily widebodies, plus a Hong Kong to Bangkok leg you can buy on its own. Target the A380 or a refitted 777: some 777 rotations still fly a 2-3-2 business cabin without direct aisle access, which is a poor way to spend six hours.
Changi to Bangkok in about 2h15m, the shortest widebody hop on this page and the cleanest way to turn a long-haul into Singapore into a Bangkok trip. On a leg this short you get the regional business seat rather than the long-haul suite, so buy it for the connection and the Changi transit, not the cabin.
Tokyo Narita and Haneda to Bangkok in about 6h10m, and a Seoul to Bangkok leg as well; All Nippon flies both Tokyo airports on the same pair if the timings suit you better. Sky Suite is lie-flat on the widebodies assigned here, and Tokyo is the fastest one-stop from most of the US West Coast.

Bangkok has three seasons and business class prices all of them differently. The cool, dry stretch from November to February is the peak: Loy Krathong on the river in November, comfortable evenings, and European and North American holiday traffic stacked on top. Departures between mid-December and the first week of January sit at the top of every range above, and Chinese New Year in February lifts the regional cabins out of Hong Kong, Shanghai, Seoul and Singapore for a fortnight either side.
March to May is the hot season, and Songkran in mid-April is its own peak; the water festival runs 13 to 15 April, with the public holiday and the travel peak spreading several days either side, and inbound cabins from Seoul, Tokyo and Singapore tighten months ahead of it. Once it passes, the market goes quiet. The southwest monsoon from late May through October is the soft season and where the best business fares live; September and October are the wettest months and the cheapest, and the rain is usually a heavy hour in the afternoon rather than a lost day.
Book four to six months ahead for December, January and Songkran, and two to three months for the monsoon, when discounted business inventory sits unsold. Bangkok is also a working city: regional business traffic fills Monday-morning and Friday-evening flights from Singapore, Hong Kong and Tokyo, so a midweek departure prices below either end of the week on the short Asian legs. The long-haul nonstops are the tight ones; a widebody business cabin is a few dozen seats, and the discounted buckets on the Los Angeles and Gatwick services usually go before the published fare moves. Fly in the monsoon, May through October, depart midweek, and let the routing work for you: a Gulf or Northeast Asian hub connection usually prices below the Los Angeles or Gatwick nonstop, and a European city with several competing nonstops prices below one served by a single carrier. The bigger saving is the fare type rather than the routing; we book negotiated and unpublished business class fares that never appear on the public sites, routinely well under retail.
